A Evening Gathering (Day 3 Mid Evening)

[Yue]

Yue was present at the gathering, although she wasn't too sure if she was really in the mood to party exactly. However, after what happened at the inn, she was probably more at ease with being around more capable people. There was also the danger that she could be bringing a curse to them, she didn't know. However, she would just have to weigh the risks that it was safer for her than for them...

She looked around and easily found the area where the event was being hosted. It was the only beach party there. She let out a sigh and tried to look as casual a possible as she meandered in.

[Hiruma Sen]

"Oh that's perfect!"
Sen knew what parties were meant to be! Or at least, what Meiko thought parties were meant to be.

"I need to go finish settling in the guests, but after that there will be music, and dancing and I'm going to have a sochu, one that doesn't taste like varnish this time, and you can join me for any of that but you don't have to since I know that would be pretty crowded. And if you ever need someone to be with who's more quiet, Koemi-san is really scary and tough but she's also good and can be quiet and might like some company."

“Koemi?” Sen tilted her head, that name sounded familiar. “Oh, I met her before. As temptin’ as that is, I’d rather stick with you.”

“Drinks sound good.” At the back of Sen’s mind, she wondered how well the Moshi could handle her booze. Probably not very well. So Sen had to be on alert for people being super sus around her. “What you wanna do after this?”

“We have a special musician who’s going to perform, so we should definitely listen to her and dance if it’s dance music! If not we can wait until she’s finished and then dance.”

Meiko leads the way to a particularly thick palm tree and seems to open it up, revealing a selection of bottled and glasses. Evidently the illusion extended to the booze containers too.

“Okay, um is the ‘Kisada’s favour’ or the ‘rock and stone’ better?”

[Moshi Minari]

Having greeted his sister Daichi hears the Moshi call of alcohol and is immediately headed that way.

"More encouraging words are rarely heard!" The big Hida bellowed as he approached the Moshi and the freshly opened drinks.

He smiled bright at the small woman "Hida Daichi, anyone who throws a party as impressive as this is certainly friend to me." He said offering Minari a bow.

She noticed something slightly off with the illusion, and knowing that Meiko wouldn't pull such stunts... she figured it was more likely to do with the apparition she saw earlier.

Guess we'll be packing up soon if the weird shit continues.

"Moshi Minari, navigator aboard the Sea Fox. Those who like a good party and a good drink is a good friend," Minari offered in return, pouring him a cup of shochu.

"You a local boy or visiting for the wedding?"

Then she smiles and bounces happily at Sen’s words
“You don’t need to impress me, I’m happy if you’re happy! Just come out there with me and shake it!”

[Yoritomo Katsu]

Katsu was there, although he wasn't partying. Instead, he seemed to be keeping an eye on the various servers, making sure everything was going smoothly.

He stopped a server with raised hand. "Bring some more sake. That's what everyone's drinking. A bow one direction, a nod the other, and Katsu turned his stern gaze back on the party, a silent party guardian, a watchful hors d'oeuvres protector.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

With Katsu here and watching things, Shouji could finally make some real attempts at conversation before setting the whole thing in motion.

"Honored guests." He greeted the Governor and her husband with a polite bow as he approached. "A pleasure to see you coukd make it. Anything I could get the two of you?"

[Hida Kitusuchi]

Kitusuchi bowed respectfully to him and her husband following suit as she said, “Tsuruchi-san may I introduce my husband, Hida Yancho and we are well your people have seen to our refreshments. This is beautiful… is this what your home looks like?”

He glanced around him. "But yes this is a view of the islands, or as close as we can bring you. It's truly a beautiful place most times of the year."

[Yue]

Yue would glance around the area and see a few people she had made acquaintance with. She figured it wasn't good enough to be around people but perhaps best to mingle with them as well. After all, how could they defend her from the evil spirits if they didn't know that she was here? If she went missing, it wouldn't have made a difference. She made her wave over to where Yoko and Katsu were found, bowing to them both on the approach, "oh, uhm...good evening."

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"You have created a paradise... I can't believe this is the beach," she said.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I am blessed with two very skilled priestesses, it's mostly their skills you see on display today." Shouji replied, his smile pleased.

"Still thank you, we'd hoped to impress and create a place people could enjoy."

[Yoritomo Katsu]

"Heyyy, Yoritomo-sama," Yoko said, stepping up from behind Katsu so that she stood at his side. Looking over her shoulder to him she smiled, "Working hard as always, I see?"

"Ah, Yoko-san. Having a good time, as always." Katsu's tone was dry as he slowly turned to face the ronin, almost smiling. Of course, for Katsu, an almost smile was basically the real thing.

After a moment, he snorted. "Well, you're welcome to, of course. Just don't overdo it. I don't want to be fishing you out of the ocean later tonight."

[Yoko]

"Look, I've never been that dru-" she paused, looking over to Yue when she approached. With a big smile she returned the greeting, a bit of a bow, "Good evening, Yue-san! Yue-san," she said, glancing to Katsu, "This is Yoritomo Katsu he's the first mate of the ship I sleep on, the Sea Fox, the one throwing all this together."

Laying out her hand to indicate Yue, "Yoritomo-sama, this is Yue-san a fellow ronin who's a good hunter of small critters and the like. Good folk if a bit shy seeming sometime, eh?" she glanced back with cocky smirk.

"Good evening, Yoko and Yoritomo-sama," she bowed once more when she was given the introduction to Katsu, "I hope I'm not interrupting anything, I just wanted to say thank you for holding this event and sharing your generosity with us. All of us," she added as an afterthought as the tea and sake would have made better value with Clan samurai for favours.

"Shy, sure..." she said on a reluctant note, even if she can't refute the claim, "I'm hoping to do something less shy today, maybe."

[Kitsuki Naida]

Naida shows up late in a short green yukata and sandals she would feel comfortable dancing in on the beach. She had a bag with her, but she set it down soon after arriving, giving a small bow towards Shouji before walking over to get a little alcohol, bowing to the Moshi and Hiruma that were talking near to the good stuff before pouring herself some.

Naida shows up late in a short green yukata and sandals she would feel comfortable dancing in on the beach. She had a bag with her, but she set it down soon after arriving, giving a small bow towards Shouji before walking over to get a little alcohol, bowing to the Moshi and Hiruma that were talking near to the good stuff before pouring herself some.

Meiko beams and bows back before waving at Naida. A real dragon, here! Just walking around. Best.Party.Ever.
