A Evening Gathering (Day 3 Mid Evening)

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

The party the Mantis held was under way, an area of beach marked off and visible from afar as a series of tables and cooking fires as well as a stage. Before entering the area people from the Crew of the Sea will warn guests that while things within the area may not seem as the appear. What the see is harmless and the are encouraged to enjoy themselves.upon entering they are greeted by the following.

Meiko has transformed a 200 foot diameter section of the beach into a lush steaming jungle environment reminiscent of the Mantis Isles to the east. Pleasant smelling ferns sit side by side towering exotic trees which appear to be offering cool shade from the artificial warm sun above.

Three separate sections are dominated by different kinds of flora from different islands, offering a selection of sights and smells to suit the tastes of guests while the stage at the illusions rear appears veiled in mist, hiding any ongoing preparations from the crowd gathering below.

Serving men and women wander through the gathered Samurai offering cups of Sake, Shochu, Tea, or water to those that arrive and their is a variety of dishes available prepared by the cooks from Shouji's ship. Other then rice and a variety of pickles it's exclusively seafood items though, prepared in the Mantis style. No entertainment has started as of yet, but if the stage is any indication there is at least some planned.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Shouji was at the side of the party, sheltering under the shade of a palm tree, or so it appeared. He was dressed much light the night before and had a cup in hand.

His eyes were flicking across the area as he waited for guests to arrive. Hopefully the idea of illusions didn't scare them all off.

[Hida Kitusuchi]

The Lord of Bronze Carp castle arrived with her husband, and a small honor guard of Crab samurai.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

The Governor received a bow as she entered, he hadn't been sure who she might bring as a guest. It was both a surprise and not that it was her husband.

He didn't move to approach the woman though, at least not for the moment. Instead letting her mingle as she would.

[Hida Daichi]

Word was out there was a party and anyone that didn't bet to see Daichi there was a terrible gamble. He rolled up not long after his sister and brother in law.

"Kitu-chan! I'm surprised to see you here, Yancho-kun has been telling me how busy you are of late. Good to see you here to let your hair down a bit, relax and have a good time!"

[Amika]

Amika arrives at the place. It has been somewhat of a busy day for the ronin but she still has something to do during this evening right here. She is waring her new pink-ish furisode.

The wolf keeps a low profile, after all she was just a ronin among a sea of other more important guests.

[Hiruma Sen]

Well, Sen promised Meiko she’d be there and Sen keeps her promises. She even put on one of her fancier outfits! Which meant it hadn’t been worn yet. Sen was not one to be fancy. Or at parties. Those that grew up in he area might be surprised to see her here.

[Moshi Minari]

Having arranged for the good weather, Minari was there too, giving a brief bow to the arriving lady of the castle and her retinue.

"Plenty of drinks to be had, everyone." She made sure to pop open some bottles for everyone to help themselves to.

Man, Meiko's illusions were almost making her homesick...

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I still say we should of labeled them piss." The Captain offered quietly to Minari as he made his way past her towards others in the crowd.

Amika arrives at the place. It has been somewhat of a busy day for the ronin but she still has something to do during this evening right here. She is waring her new pink-ish furisode.

"Amika-san." He greeted the Ronin with a polite nod. "Enjoy yourself for now, we'll let you know when we are ready for you." He offered the ronin another polite nod before continuing on his way.

Having greeted his sister Daichi hears the Moshi call of alcohol and is immediately headed that way.

"More encouraging words are rarely heard!" The big Hida bellowed as he approached the Moshi and the freshly opened drinks.

He smiled bright at the small woman "Hida Daichi, anyone who throws a party as impressive as this is certainly friend to me." He said offering Minari a bow.

[Moshi Meiko]

Meiko dashes from group to group, making sure everyone is catered for. The Moshi is wearing one of her most formal outfits, an old orange Kimono of a more classic style, but she does have a headband reading 'Party! Party!'

Whenever she sees a samurai she recognises Meiko bounds up to them and talks their ear off for a few moments before bounding away again. She hasn't spotted Sen yet but is keeping an eye out...it's harder when you're at most torso height of everyone else.

[Hiruma Sen]

"Hiruma-san." He greeted the Scout as he neared her. "Come to have a taste of Mantis lands?"

“Oh, Tsuruchi-sama.” Sen offered a bow to the Mantis Captain when he approached, standing up straight with a slight nervous smile. “Ah, yes. That and Moshi-san invited me. Everything looks so nice!”

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"We couldn't of asked for better weather." The Mantis offered with an easy smile, glancimg up towards the false sun. "Still, I'm happy you made it, and I should also add you look nce." He made a gesture towards the Crab woamn's Kimono.

"As for this." He gestured towarrds the surrodnings. "Meiko certainly did a fine job at it." He offered the Crab woman a smile. "I should be on my way though, and let you find her. I'm sure she's lookign forward to hearing your thoughts on all this."

[Dapper Dog]

"Kitu-chan! I'm surprised to see you here, Yancho-kun has been telling me how busy you are of late. Good to see you here to let your hair down a bit, relax and have a good time!"

Yancho always dressed well and this was no different and he was handsome and just smiled at the jab. He nodded and said, “I am honored that my wife thought so highly of me to bring as her guest this evening. Doubly humbled to see an honored brother doing well.”

“Congratulations on your own betrothal as well.”

[Bayushi Ijihime]

Meanwhile a beautiful Scorpion arrived at the gathering, minus her usual parasol.

"Thank you Hiruma-san, I tried hard to find the right colours and scents and temperatures for everyone."
Meiko bows politely and then goes back to vibrating
"And you came, and looking so nice too! Those clothes are clean and without any tears, oh you look really good!"

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku makes her way to the gathering.

It would hardly do to disappoint the dashing young captain, after all.

“I... Ummm... Thank you.” Sen bashfully looked down at her feet, a bit of a blush on her face. “I wanted to look presentable for ya.”

Yoko was most naturally present. Finding herself a spot where she could hang out comfortably for a bit.

"I think....I think you're the most presentable samurai here! Be proud of yourself...oh, and have a good time! That's the goal, for everyone to be proud and happy"
Meiko beams up at Sen.

“Moshi-san, you’re flatterin’ me.” There’s a bit of an awakened smile flashing from Sen as she leaned in close to Meiko, “We’re gonna have some fun tonight. Then we can hang out.”

Sen knew what parties were meant to be! Or at least, what Meiko thought parties were meant to be.

"I need to go finish settling in the guests, but after that there will be music, and dancing and I'm going to have a sochu, one that doesn't taste like varnish this time, and you can join me for any of that but you don't have to since I know that would be pretty crowded. And if you ever need someone to be with who's more quiet, Koemi-san is really scary and tough but she's also good and can be quiet and might like some company."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

The Crane and Scorpion women both received warm smiles as they arrived, as well as polite nods. The Captain didn't approach either though at least for the moment. Continuing his walk around the party his cup of sake in hand.

Even if he wasn't doing much in the way of drinking it.
