Day 4 LA - The Festival of Remembrance (Open/Event)

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He was starting to like this Bayushi just a tiny little bit. The situation was made him contain his laughter a it of times. "Setuma." He took the leash and started to walk back to the petting zoo.

[Kakita Konohamaru]

"I have met them but we are not well acquainted outside of that. Has one implicated themselves in such a crime?" There was no defensiveness in the tone. Stereotypes did sometimes evolve for a reason after all.

All business.

"Bayushi Ijihime. Apparently involved in the messages and post of Otomo Yusuke."

And so he waited.

[Bayushi Ijihime]

She followed along and said about the horse, "That is a wonderful creature, very noble."

Meanwhile her name being uttered did not pass her by unnoticed.

[Kitsuki Naida]

Yuuwaku smiles as she continues leading the dance, adjusting her steps and her followers' to Masao's music.

That's the way, Kakita-nikutai!

Having abandoned the hat business for now, Naida made over to where Yuuwaku was, standing nearby and watching with her arms folded.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Satsuma is a nice name indeed." As they approached the petting zoo, Hana could see Kuma was not happy. He was glaring at her. She looked at the falcon and giggled. All his feathers were floofed. He looked like a fat chicken. "I got a new distraction." She told the falcon.

She turned to the Bayushi. "Thank you for the escort Scorpion sama. Thank you for the horse Asahina sama. I'll take good care of Satsuma san."

[Bayushi Ushi]

All business.

"Bayushi Ijihime. Apparently involved in the messages and post of Otomo Yusuke."

And so he waited.

The mask cocks slightly to one side, "I must admit you have me at a disadvantage. Unless the Crab have passed laws against aiding a friend I do not see how that constitutes a crime... but I am, admittedly, no magistrate."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

She got the name slightly wrong, not that it mattered. He handled her the leash. "Please take well care." He says, and looks around.
Two Scorpion over his magistrate clansmate was not good.

[Bayushi Ijihime]

All business.

"Bayushi Ijihime. Apparently involved in the messages and post of Otomo Yusuke."

And so he waited.

“Excuse me, Asahina-sana, Toritaka-san, it seems I am needed.”

As if on cue, with dramatic timing the woman made herself known. She said, “I am honored that my name is known by so many.”

[Kakita Konohamaru]

Konohamaru stood and bowed to the Scorpion, looking to the queue outside of his tent.

"Indeed. Forgive me, Bayushi-san, but beyond your name I know little of you. I would, however, like to ask you some questions in private."

[Bayushi Ushi]

All business.

"Bayushi Ijihime. Apparently involved in the messages and post of Otomo Yusuke."

And so he waited.

“Excuse me, Asahina-sana, Toritaka-san, it seems I am needed.”

The cloaked figure bows to the new arrival, "Good afternoon, Bayushi-sama. Would you prefer some privacy?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

She looked at the horse. "Oh... my mistake... I apologize Setuma san." She patted his snout. "Come let's see to the children." She walked toward the pen. Sari was running from the children playing tag. Kuma was being fluffed by some of the girls.

"I think that is enough fluffing for Kuma san." She chuckled. "Maybe you girls can braid Setuma's hair. This horse belong to a nice Asahina. So you should help me make look nice." She gave a brush to one of the girls. The girls smiled brightly at the idea of brushing and braiding the horse.

Don't even...

The Toritaka laughed. The falcon landed on her head and pecked it lightly. "Stop that... you just look so funny."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

She looked at the horse. "Oh... my mistake... I apologize Setuma san." She patted his snout. "Come let's see to the children." She walked toward the pen. Sari was running from the children playing tag. Kuma was being fluffed by some of the girls.

"I didn't think falcons were so meek. I thought that they were only hunting birds, not personal companions?" He inquired the Falcon with curiosity, taking his seconds to have courage to mess up a little with its feathers.

"Thank you for helping with the festival. Although it is indeed a front, it also has value as art." He says, passing his hand over the bird.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"This one is a very special one." She smiled. Kuma bowed to the Asahina as he was petted by the tall man. "Mother says that spirits from Chikuchudo may come to Ningen-do and take shape of animals. She believes that Kuma is one."

You know I am not from Chikuchudo.

"Mother is a Kitsune with very animal tuned senses. From the clan not a spirit of a fox... But sometimes she makes me wonder."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Oh! A foxwife! To think I would meet the daughter of one in my lifetime!" He said, making himself look more gullible than he was. Probably was just someone very attuned to the spiritual realm claiming to be one.

He continues petting the falcon. "I thought spirits could talk."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko blinked a few times."Mother explained about taboos for spirits crossing to the realm." She explained. "One could be that they may not speak only make the noises of the animal they are."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"I see. Such a sad taboo it would be. But that's how I perceive things, I'm sure the spirits think differently."
He respectfully takes his hand out of the falcon. "Thanks for your kind company, Toritaka-san."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Thank you for letting me borrow your horse." The Asahina may see that the children are braiding the horse's mane and tail. Others are brushing the body of the creature. Sari came over to meet the Asahina. The dog sat tired next to the Toritaka. "I think someone else wants to be petted. Could you keep an eye out while I ask for a dish of water?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Care of the children? I may." He nods friendly and looks at the dog. If the animal was somewhat higher, sure. But having his kimono touch the dirt was a thought that gave him chills.
Maybe if they were somewhere comfortable he could take his sandals and pet him with his feet. But it would be scandalous to do so in public.
So he went to look out for the children.

[Kakita Masao]

From close by, the musical nikutai had been keeping half an eye on Sanaharu and Hanatsuko. As they part, Masao feels a certain relief -- Grandson, aren't you worrying about enough things already? If you don't stop all this worry and anxiety, you'll be dead before Kitora-kun.

Masao, thankfully on a short break between songs, can squeeze his eyes shut and take a deep breath to center.

[Bayushi Ijihime]

The cloaked figure bows to the new arrival, "Good afternoon, Bayushi-sama. Would you prefer some privacy?"

"I have nothing to hide from a Crane, if you have questions ask, if I feel they need answers then it shall be so," she replied.

He raised from his seat, indicating that Ijihime should follow him further into the staff area with a common hand gesture.

"Before I ask, would you like some tea?"

"If you have something to say then you can do so here, my time is precious," she said not leaving the side of her clanmate.

"I have quality tea in my chambers."

[Kakita Konohamaru]

Egg on his face for trying to be polite, he supposed, and sat down, shrugging to the guards either side.

He considered revealing his magistrate's seal, complete with temporary license for this village, but he relented. Let her decide why he was asking for herself.

"What is your connection and, if any, working relationship with Otomo Yusuke?"

[Ikoma Ren]

"What do you know of the history of Hitomi and those dolls, if I can ask?"

[Bayushi Ijihime]

Egg on his face for trying to be polite, he supposed, and sat down, shrugging to the guards either side.

He considered revealing his magistrate's seal, complete with temporary license for this village, but he relented. Let her decide why he was asking for herself.

"What is your connection and, if any, working relationship with Otomo Yusuke?"

"That sounds like a question for Otomo Yusuke as the ranking member of our delegation," she responded sweetly.

"Is this an investigation? Has something happened?"
