Day 4 LA - The Festival of Remembrance (Open/Event)

Doomsday prophet was not what Ren was planning to be, but he throws himself into it. He is not particularly good at it as people look more to have fun than tales of danger

Hanatsuko shook her head. "My wounds were from the night of the festival. A spirit attacked me that night." The Falcon took a breath. "You do remember the festival."

"They were healed yesterday, and yet today morning you found them hurting again? Couldn't it be that they reopened? Anyway, you should talk to Kakita-bugyo."

[Bayushi Ushi]

Konohamaru welcomed in the Scorpion, offering him a bow and some tea.

"Basically, yes. It's the spirit of a girl called Doji Hitomi who's causing this. She implies there is four nights, on the fourth of which a young child will die. From my research, when the young child 'dies' the loops stop. There is presence of either Toshigoku or Gaki-do present."

"Hitomi can, as far as I've seen, cause boundless aggression, illness, and I suspect possess people. She can also be scared. Also avoid the docks - there's something in the water."

This information wouldn't come free, mind, but he remembered Scorpions liked thinking they were being given 'too much' information, and he was feeling... nice.

"To get out, we have portained someone needs to be reunited - we're working on who. Torikata Hanatsuko and Aji from the fertile mound shrine must be kept alive to figure this out."

Finally, he took a sip of his tea.

"Today is a nice day for a festival, though."

The mask nods slightly, reflecting the untouched tea cup, "It is, and it seems tomorrow will be as well unless things are figured out quickly."

There is silence for a moment, the figure unmoving.

"I wonder if the spirit hides behind a false name... though Hitomi is common enough that its resemblance to your Champion is not totally unreasonable. Were these lands ever held by your clan?"

He nods. "Please come with me to get the horses then." And, with this, he starts walking until he would reach a less inhabited part of the town.

The mask nods slightly, reflecting the untouched tea cup, "It is, and it seems tomorrow will be as well unless things are figured out quickly."

It was an interesting situation - a Lion, a Scorpion and a Crane in a Crab lands festival... ran by the Crane.

"Yes and no... he already knows. I should report to him my new findings. Seems he is busy at the time" As she watched the Scorpion is talking to him.

And then he noticed the Falcon waiting an audience as well.

"...Right, so. Ikoma-san, I'm sorry, but if you could wait for a few moments. Scorpion-san, let's continue swiftly, then I will speak to Ikoma-san and then Torikata-san. In the meantime, help yourselves to tea and such in the adjacent tent."

So if these were never Crane lands it was either a traveler in life, came clinging onto one of those who traveled here, or perished in that battle. The latter would certainly fit most folklore stories."

[Kakita Masao]

Happy to do his part, especially when it can be an excuse to play his flute and help keep an eye on Hanatsuko, Kakita Masao takes up a space where a cluster of an audience won't block too many paths for others.

Even putting a little extra complexity into his songs to fit the joyful mood evoked by the artisans, Masao shows the crowd a good time. Perhaps he's starting to get his mojo back. Grandson, this had better not have anything to do with the way you're looking at that Falcon girl.

"As for Sutorenja-san...last night, I convinced her not to tell me, to maintain her oaths. Sadly, the choice was taken out of both of our hands by Yoko-san." Ren makes a face. "Which I appreciate, as it certainly does help..."
