[Moshi Meiko]

"I know." Shouji replied quietly so his voice wouldn't carry. "It's almost like we are reliving yesterday." He added after a moment.

"Some of the sailors mentioned preparing for tonight's party before I summoned all of you."

"What's going on? What's happened? Is it..is it a prank, or something? Because I didn't go to sleep in my hammock last night, but I woke up there!"
Meiko looks up at Shouji, confident Captain-sama could solve everything.

"Find a futon somewhere did you?" The Captain offered with an amused smile on his lips. He hadn't failed to notice her and Sen disappearing.

He didn't stay on that subject long though as a frown made it's way onto his features. "It's too elaborate i think to be a prank." He offered after a moment. None of his crew were terribly good actors after all, and his own futon had been cleaner then it had any right to be.

"Perhaps it has something to do with the ghost 8 saw on the ship yesterday afternoon."

Shouji successfully avoided chuckling at the Moshi, but it was a close thing. "I think it's the beach that's haunted more then our ship. The ghost seemed to be Hida Gusari who led a force against Daidoji Bujeihime here in the distant past."

Koemi came over after her own search. "I haven't found any clues towards our missing person. What about you two?"

"Hiruma-san would be a good aide in this." He offered after a moment. "As long as she already realizes something was wrong."

He eyed the Moshi for a few moments. "Just try not to spend too much time at her home and not attending to this."

"I would never! I will be completely focused on our duty!"
It wasn't Meiko's fault that Sen knew where everything was locally and the quickest ways to get there

"Arrange watches in pairs if you would Koemi." Shouji offered after a moment. "You should know who has the best eyes so set them to the task."

"If something is in the water we need to spot if before it makes a move, perhaps a few arrows and harpoons will stop if from trying to take another of us."

He then turned towards Meiko and nodded. "I trust you to do just that Meiko, report back if you find something."

Koemi, without the same build-up about the monster, was a bit more calm about the revelation. But it wasn't like she wasn't surprised all the same. "Oh my god..." she muttered.

She looked to the captain and scratched the back of her head. "Wouldn't Katsu-sama be better at picking that out? Or... do you want me to tell him? Or..."

"You're right." He offered after a moment. "Find him and relay my instructions. I'll see what I can do to find out more about this."
