A Evening Gathering (Day 3 Mid Evening)

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"Oh, that's Moshi Meiko." He gestured around him towards the illusionary trees and the various flowers. "She is responsible for all this you see around you." He admitted. "She's a fine woman and skilled at what she does. Though this type of thing isn't her usual type of thing."

"She works as my cultural attache." He admitted with a smirk. "She's still learning her way into the position though, as she is somewhat recently graduated form her school."

"She must have been at the top of her class, to arrange all this so soon after completing her initial studies." Yuuwaku nods approvingly. "You are fortunate to have such an aide, my captain. There are many courts that would envy you for it."

Sen watched Meiko go up and start singing herself. And she was actually really good. Big hands, though? Interesting song choice, Sen had to admit.

"She must have been at the top of her class, to arrange all this so soon after completing her initial studies." Yuuwaku nods approvingly. "You are fortunate to have such an aide, my captain. There are many courts that would envy you for it."

Shouji's smile has a bit amused as he thought back on Meiko joining the ship. Agreeing to let her on board had been one things, convincing the Moshi it was the best thing to do was another one entirely. It had taken some effort to for Katsu and him to convince them of that, it had been worth it though. "I know, I'm blessed with quite the skilled crew." More skilled then he honestly deserved.

"I'll not part with them easily either." He continued with a grin. "Not that I'm worried that was your attention, but we are at a wedding. Those type of talks get brought up."

Shouji's smile has a bit amused as he thought back on Meiko joining the ship. She looks up at him through her eyelashes, fans herself idly with the fan only partly open. "I imagine, given that marriage is on the minds of many, that some have spoken to the captain about it for himself."

"Oh, I imagine you can be quite convincing when you have a mind to be, Kakita-san." He replied with a light chuckle. "But still thank you."

His eyes shifted towards the Otomo as he was in the group. "A few have brought up the prospect of marriage yes, and while it's not something I am exactly looking to leap into. It's been on my mind as a possibility." He paused a minute thoughtfully before continuing. "Though in the postion I am, my clan would likely be looking for certain things, and not just let me decide on my own."

His eyes shifted towards the Otomo as he was in the group. "A few have brought up the prospect of marriage yes, and while it's not something I am exactly looking to leap into. It's been on my mind as a possibility." He paused a minute thoughtfully before continuing. "Though in the postion I am, my clan would likely be looking for certain things, and not just let me decide on my own."

Yuuwaku notes where Shouji glances.

"It is something common, of course. But if there were directions Tsuruchi-sama's thoughts inclined in that regard, it might help his Clan decide if certain words were spoken in support of charting that course. And there are some who would be happy to be his friend in that regard--and others, perhaps, as well."

"That's a shame for an inn," she said, shrugging. "Still, as Yoritomo-sama said I'll get you nice and comfortable in things around the boat, eh? Worst kind of spirits you'll find on the boat, far as I know, is the booze. Unless Yoritomo-sama here wakes up grumpy, you'd almost forget he has the capacity to smile," she said, looking up to Katsu with a cocky smirk and raising her hands up in mock-surrender.

"Thank you, Yoko-san, I appreciate your help," she said plain as she gave the other ronin a bow. While she didn't exactly show much in her expression, she was rather surprised how quickly she was in accepting her. At least, enough so that she vouched for her. It wasn't much but it was more than enough at the moment when she wanted to leave the madness of the Inn behind.

"I'll be sure to not step on anyone's toes and I'll accept some grumpiness here and there if I have to," she nodded at Katsu.

There was at least one crew member that had already offered to do just that. "I'm certain you are right." He offered with a warm smile. Not that he had really located anyone he wished to marry.

"Perhaps I'll need to look into these things a bit further."

"But rather having a bit of fun." He looked through the gathered people. Saisei, Yuuwaku, and Amika. "Would any of you care for another drink?"

Besides that, he watches the exchange between Yuuwaku and Shouji with interest.

That wasn't exactly the nod he was looking for, if he had been looking for a nod at all. "One for Otomo-san too then." He said with an easy smile. Calling over a servant and requesting they bring over four cups.

He then turned his gaze towards the Crane. "And I'd be a poor host not to offer. Though if I recall you don't like to partake too deeply?"

"Look at me, Tsuruchi-sama," Yuuwaku says. "There is not much of me to be moved by the spirits, so it does not take much of them to move me!"

But she accepts the cup gratefully and asks "To what do we drink?"

He chuckled at that. "You would think the same was true of everyone near o you in size. But my Navigator Moshi Minari is an exception. She's even managed to drink me under the table a time or two."

"But." He glanced around the group and raised hsi glass. "How about budding friendships?"

"To budding friendships; may they bear abundant fruit!"

Yuuwaku lifts her cup and drinks.

[Otomo Saisei]

"To friendship!" The Otomo also cheers, sips and then asks, "I confess I haven't seen as many Moshi before. What can Tsuruchi-sama tell about those that he has serving in his ship?"

Once she finished Meiko bowed to the audience and ran back into the crowd, by this point both exhausted and exhilarated.

"To friendship!" The mantis echoed with a smile. Looking towards the Otomo at his question. "A wide variety of things... "Anything you were looking to know in particular?"

Well, Sen was fine to be dragged off elsewhere. Leaving a party early sounds pretty great.

"Oh, I see. Well, congratulations I guess on your brother's upcoming marriage. Here's to hopin' it goes well." She raised a cup to that.

"Has the place changed much since you were last here?"

He raised his in response a large grin exposing white teeth before he took a drink "Ah some names have changed, people grew up, some new faces some old ones missing but all in all its the same as it was. Small, most people know each other, word get around fast, those giant cocks at the temple still make me chuckle." He said doing so as he talked about it.

"What do you think of the our little village here?" He said motioning toward it "honesty please, you won't offend me unless you try to."
