[Day 1 - Mid Morning - Open] Morning Routine

[Kuni Takeshi]

Takeshi took the cups and put some matcha in int. After that he added the water and began stiring the tea until it foamed. as the foam settled down, he gave Sanharu a cup and took the other one for himself.
He waited for the tea to get a bit cooler until they both could drink the tea in unison.

After drinking his first sip he put the cup into his lap and said: "I hope the tea is to your liking, Asahina-san?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"This is, although not an exceptional one, a good service. Thank you, Kuni-san." He nodded, taking the cup on his hands and drinking from it. "I wonder what the differences from the lifestyle of the shugenja from my clan and yours are..."

[Kuni Takeshi]

"I would say that the traditions are very different. As far as I remember, the Asahina Shugenja do not perform military service. Meanwhile, we Kuni spend most of our time hunting for things in the dark." he said confident.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

Whether on the wall, in the courts, or anywhere else in the empire. And for us Kuni this is even more important. We have to use our gift to talk to the kami, to prevent even the most horrible creatures from entering the empire." he explained calm, but hard.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He drew his fan to his mouth, eyes slightly startled in surprise. The thought of putting the blessed children of the kami to fight those evils still, risking their corruption... He was one to disapprove of this act. "Can't the bushi do so alone, Takeshi-san? To put the touched children of the kami out there... Why give you such needless risk?".

[Kuni Takeshi]

"Needless?" he replied cold. "Without the sacrifice of Kuni Osaku, the monster known only as the maw would have crossed the Seigo River and plunged the empire into a time of darkness. Without the help of the kami, only more samurai would die on the wall to protect the empire. Without the help of my family, the blight of corruption would spread." he said with a hard look.

he took a sip of his tea.

"It is not needles, it is rather the opposite."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

Oh, he knew the first story from a poem he studied before arriving there. Seems like the Crab really held her in high esteem. "Your duty is one to protect and heal, then." He bows seated, rather deeply. "I am sorry not to understand it before. I'm rather young, you see, and ignorant of much of this world. For this, I ask for your apology."

[Kuni Takeshi]

He nodded. "I accept your apology," he relaxed a little.

"What is the duty of Asahina Shugenya?" he asked.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Astrology and the creation of minor nemuranai and fetishes. As well, there have been times they were sent to negotiate for peace, but those are rare. Anything the Crane needs, mostly. Some help the artists and courtiers with magic, tend to temples or work to purify places."

[Kuni Takeshi]

"Astrology? Hmm,.. i guess they learn to read the fate of man in the stars?" Takeshi wasn't sure how common it was to use the Stars as a tool of navigation outside of the scouts of the hiruma or the mantis.

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He nods. "My mother was fairly good at it, although in the end she took decisions of her own volition anyway, only cathering to them when she saw it fit. I'm grateful for that, though." He takes a sip of tea.

[Kuni Takeshi]

"Interesting. Studying the stars is also one of my duties here in Fire Shrimp Village. Even though I personally rely on Kawaru coins for forecasting."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Oh, I see. As the occasion is convenient, could you read my fate after I finish my cup?" He says, secretly eagerly as a child.
