[Kitsuki Tanaka]

Having extracted herself from any groups for the moment, the Dragon courtier returned to watching the crowd. Waiting to see if anything caught her eye.

"Well then Nightingale, what songs will you sing of this night?" Biyo asked of the man.

"I do accept suggestions. My own knowledge of the poetry of my neighbor is limited, although it is my humble guess that they would rather not listen to Setsugekka verses."

Something clicks on him as the tits joke thing still boomed over his head. If Yoji grew up around people like this, he should learn to appreciate traditional Crane poetry when he married a Daidoji.

He looks tenderly to Yoji. "Although appreciating the study of the son of Lady Doji would click right for someone."

[Yoko]

"...I'm having a good night, yeah," she said with an anxious look about her as she thought she just got out of socializing around here. However, this seemed like it was harmless at least. "And yourself, samurai-san? Are you local around here?"

"Nah," she shook her head. Bringing her free hand up to her chest she gave it a little tap, "I'm Yoko, just came in a few days ago with a boat that I signed onto for a little extra coin, food, and a place to sleep for the journey. Not the best but.. definitely not the worst," she said with a smile. "Had interesting company too, few Imperials.. which was.." she laughed to herself, "very interesting," she smiled that self-pleased kind of smile.

[Yue]

"Oh," Yue murmured underneath her breath as a response, perhaps being a touch disappointed at first. Then again, she already got her tips from a local already.

"I'm Yue and I just got here. I'm over at the inn since that's where they'll take me in. That doesn't sound too bad if you got to rub shoulders with a few samurai. Is that where you're staying?" she asked curiously as she idly placed a hand on her own cheek.

[Yoko]

"Oh," Yue murmured underneath her breath as a response, perhaps being a touch disappointed at first. Then again, she already got her tips from a local already.

"I'm Yue and I just got here. I'm over at the inn since that's where they'll take me in. That doesn't sound too bad if you got to rub shoulders with a few samurai. Is that where you're staying?" she asked curiously as she idly placed a hand on her own cheek.

"Uh- yea, I think, talked it over today with some arrangements set toward it. Glad to hear you've found a place for yourself though, eh?" she said with a big grin, too big. Glancing passed Yue for a moment she laughed, "Sh-" she looked toward the woman a little pensive. Sighing as she seemed to collect herself a little. "Anyway, you here for all this, or uh- what're you here for?" she asked as indelicately as possible.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Kitsuki Naida, it is a pleasure to receive the Dragon," he responded kindly. "You are certainly blessed with many talents."

A soft smile, "The Dragon are a Clan of many talents, some surprising, Hida-san. I trained with the Mirumoto, and they have an impressively varied curriculum in training their samurai. Have you been enjoying yourself this evening otherwise?"

[Kakita Masao]

After his flute-playing had won him an audience and his toast had met with broad approval, Masao circulated in the room. It was stuffy with so many people, and loud, but the Crane bushi was strangely more comfortable here than he'd typically been aboard the Mantis ship. His internal conversation was silent, perhaps a testament to the skills he'd just displayed -- or the severity of disgust as to be in this wretched place for a "wedding event." If the silence would prevail here, though, then clearly Masao must become a regular at this...establishment.

Masao's first drink had disappeared fast -- in a rush before he had launched into his music -- and now he was nursing his second to keep from getting carried away. Masao was no lightweight -- Daidoji Iron Warriors knew how to drink -- but he was committed to keeping his wits about him until this wedding well my of successfully.

[Hida Daichi]

After finishing his toast to the groom he gave Yoji a couple of pats before moving back through the party, off colored eyes scanning the room full of people as white teeth were exposed in a wide grin. He took a big swig from his bottle of sake at his side and simply moving through the area with no real destination, just waiting to see where his eyes and foot steps took him.

[Shosuro Himeko]

Himeko was browzing the party after her very polite and not at all mocking comments about the groom. Watching and listening, sake cup in her hand still half-full rather than finished and topped up. She was very approachable, with a smile on her face and a polite nod to those that drew close.

He paid no great attention to his surroundings, but a Doji falling injuried was a Doji falling injuried. He retracted his arms nearer himself and gave a worried glance to the Crabs at table. When he turned his head back, someone was already keeping the poor thing in place.

[Otomo Saisei]

Saisei notices a few familiar faces, and finding the tall Crane, he was keen that the bird had moved directly to find the nest of the party. The Hida groom and his entourage. Moving nearby after his toast he waits until acknowledged and sips as time goes by.

The Imperial would find a less known company, as Himeko drew close to the man. The pretty Scorpion girl smiled as the man drew close, and bowed deeply, not interrupting him if he wanted to keep walking though

The young man's eyes suddenly change focus as he gets surprisingly entrapped by the Scorpion's movement nearby. The trained Otomo actually freezes for a mere heartbeat as he takes a moment to analyze the situation. Not faltering for another moment, he sips a bit and provides a good bow.

Then, he says, how u doin' in his fancy accent, "Good evening, Lady Scorpion. I see the Fortunes have blessed you greatly, yet I wonder if you have found good sustenance this fine day."

“It was rather pedestrian until the most beautiful Dragon descended from her mountains and into this den of iniquity and sin, but now,” he said with a warm smile trailing off admiring the fruits of Mirumuto training with a critical eye.

“The night has improved immensely. What other bits of training would you think could surprise me, Kitsuki-hime?”

Yoji caught the beautiful speech by Tetsuo and just started laughing. It was perfect and even when the fish came up he was still in stitches. He rose and went to help the Mantis up, “You going to make it Mantis?”

"Setsugekka don't need to be about love. It usually... is not. It's about the fleeting nature of the world and how nothing lasts forever. You can ponder on love's etherealness, at most."

[Yoritomo Tetsuo]

Tetsuo dry heaved for a few more seconds, just to be on the safe side.

"Hai, sure!" He replied, feigning strength. Badly. "Your local stuff is goooooood." He looked the man up and down. Well, mostly up. "Congratulations then, Hida-sama."

"Uh- yea, I think, talked it over today with some arrangements set toward it. Glad to hear you've found a place for yourself though, eh?" she said with a big grin, too big. Glancing passed Yue for a moment she laughed, "Sh-" she looked toward the woman a little pensive. Sighing as she seemed to collect herself a little. "Anyway, you here for all this, or uh- what're you here for?" she asked as indelicately as possible.

Yue gave a gesture to the Hida and the congregation of celebration that was happening around him. "...I'm here for the wedding now, I think I just found out that I was here for that after I stepped foot here. At first, I was just following the large crowd of people in hopes of chasing some work. I'm still looking for work, of course. Maybe one of the locals will have something here for me."

What more could one ask for, ne?" she motioned to the sake-cup in her hand "I hope Otomo-sama has found himself similarly blessed? Saisei sips along with Scorpion and mentions, "I have always imagined how their famed noodles with tempura would taste like. I can only say my expectations were too low, since I am still planning on what I would like to taste next."

As the thought of food lingers for a bit, he opens a smile to present himself, trying not to shout, but raising his voice a bit so it goes over the boasting and cheering going on, "Otomo Saisei, assistant to the Imperial Nakodo. An honor to meet your acquaintance."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku makes her way around the tables, looking for likely conversation. Her motions remain lithe and graceful, with the uplifted mood her kohai has provided buoying her up, as well.

It really is a nice night, she thinks, and one worth indulging.

The Kuni was going aruond in the hole, drinking his Sake and enjoying the lively evening. To bad his wife couldn't be here, but, if he thought about it, it was for the better. With so many Samurai gathered at one place there surely will be blood sooner or,...

"Such a charmer Otomo-sama. I am Shosuro Himeko, It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm certain the hosts will approve of your words, although perhaps not right now. Still, if today is an indication of the days to come, the celebrations will be ones to watch, ne?"

She brought her cup up to take another tiny sip.

"Have you attended many Crab gatherings in your time, Otomo-sama?"
