Washing the Day Away (D4, LM)

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"North, back along the coast, making a few stops along the way. Then it will be on to the Mantis isles, where the ship will get some time off."

For minor repairs and that sort if thing.

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"That would be nice." she mused. "To plan your journey."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"It's something more like a necessity." Shouji replied with an amused smile. "A kobune has a purpose after all, and maintenance and the like that needs to be done. "

"If you just follow the winds. You end up with a wrecked ship and a dead crew."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"That's why it's just me and Dango." she nodded. "I should leave Dango behind somewhere nice, but he's quite stubborn."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Is he now?" Shouji asked with a raised eyebrow. "I guess that does make traveling easier though, with just two."

"I take it thats how you complete your duty to you clan though? Traveling?"

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"My gift for prophecy should be utilized to its fullest." she explained. "That's my task, to follow my visions and divinations and bear witness to events as they occur. I play a role if appropriate, but I mostly just watch."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

That seemed boring. "I see, and do you interfere often?" He asked trying to gauge to hauge if she preferred to move or sit idle.

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"Probably more often than I should." she admitted. "If something is truly meant to happen, it will, regardless of any effort to prevent it. There is a danger of causing something worse, but the risk may be worth it, if you can make a difference."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Woulldn't you say 'If you can make the right difference.' Instead?" He paused a moment before adding. "Not that I assuse you of making the wrong choice or a bad decision. But I am curious if acting always brings up the solution you think might come."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"Sometimes, it feels like one outcome is simply not as bad as the others." she sighed. "I try not to interfere, but some visions have been very dire, with far reaching consequences. Those, at the least, should be heard by others."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"That does seem prudent." He agreed with a nod. Even if he was unsure of what to exactly do with visions or how to act on them. "Though one wonders if the act if sharing them changes them slightly.

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"I've often wondered that myself." she nodded. "The idea of influencing destiny, much less thwarting it, is a concern I think about a lot. At the same time, such an ability must be meant for something."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"True enough. It would be considered quite a curse if all it ever cause you was worry." He reached up a hand and pushed a few strands of hair away from his face. "At least like this you occasionally get the satisfaction of helping."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"That makes it worth it." she nodded. "So far, my visions have not taken me out to sea. I wonder what that would be like."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Some enjoy it, others find it quite uncomfortable." The young man admitted with a smirk. "I'd suggest you try it though if you're given the chance."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"What about monkeys and other animals? How do they fare at sea?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Some better then others? Cats do fairly well, small dogs and ferrets aren't bad either." He frowned. "I'm not sure about a monkey, im sure one wouldn't fair too poorly though."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"He's usually pretty happy, as long as he's fed." she shrugged. "I'll have to see how he feels about boats."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Yiuncan bring him by the Sea Fox sometime if you like." It wouldn't be the first guest they had. "Can't really garuntee that he will act differently when the boats docked rather then underway though."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"We'll see." she shrugged. "It would be something new for him, at least."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"For you as well, if I understood you correctly." Which probably mattered a bit more at least to the Captain.

"If you decide to just swing on by, I spend a lot of my time there."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"Thank you." She dipped her head. "I may do that, depending on how the day goes. I should probably go check on Dango, make sure he isn't causing mischief."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I'd hope he isn't." The Mantis offered the young woman a smile. "But I won't keep you Fuzake-san."

"Go with the fortunes."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

She rose and offered a bow. "Fair travels, Tsuruchi-sama."

Stepping away from the baths, she was soon dressed and gone.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He didn't expect to receive a bow in the baths, and had politely averted his eyes.

She did receive a polite nod though in return. "Fair travels, Fuzake-san."
