Sato was considered crazy but he saw how the creature feared fire... so if strung up lanterns along the docks he could save everyone... he could be the hero!
Even if he was going mad and the day repeated, he could be the hero.

Well, the day was repeating again, so odds are that thing - that... Animal? As it was apparently "natural"? - would also show up again. This time, though, maybe Taiki could take some precautions to avoid it killing yet another fisherman.
Or killing the same one again, maybe?
Well, one way or another. He had a plan. Maybe if he could talk to the fishermen on the docks and warn them that a dangerous sea beast had been seen, he might....
Then he got to the docks and saw all the lanterns. That ...was actually a pretty good idea! He could have thought of that...
As he saw the heimin hanging them, he got closer and gave him a slight bow.
"'nnichiwa, fisherman-san! How's the day find ye? Sae... A see ye're gettin' ready fer something's there?"
Or killing the same one again, maybe?
