Wedding at Fire Shrimp Village an L5R PbP

Hifumi stood on the docks, looking out at the sea. Behind her, Dango watched the Mantis ships being loaded for the journey north, chittering excitedly at the crates of food and barrels of alcohol. The monkey's eagerness brought a smile to the seer's face. She was far less certain of the journey. There were too many variables ahead for the sticks to read and her foresight had shown her nothing new. The possibilities regarding the future of the Empire were as vast and mysterious as the ocean. This was unusual for Hifumi and it was both terrifying and exhilarating.

Dango shrieked and pounded the planks of the docks, signaling that there were others approaching. The Monkey turned to greet her fellow travelers.

"Almost time to shove off Fuzake-san." Shouji offered as he approached the Monkey and her monkey. "You have everything you need?"

She looked down at Dango, then back at the Mantis. "Hai, Tsuruchi-sama. Is there anything I can assist the crew with?"

He shook his head. "No, the crew will have everything well in hand. Thank you for the offer though."

He gestured towards Dango. "How do you think this one will do?"

"He should be fine." she smiled. "He's very excited, but I'll keep an eye on him."

"I'm sure you will." He glanced towards the ship. "It's likely going to be toughest keeping him out of the rigging, but I'm sure you'll manage."

"He won't break anything." she assured him. "He knows that would just get him into trouble. I'm more worried about him taking food. I've brought some extra treats for him. Hopefully, that will dostract him."
