Her first thought when she'd awoken this morning was that she'd need to wash, after swimming the night before. But, there were no signs of that. No sand. No salt. Her clothes were dry. She remembered swimming, however, and something dangerous. Trying to make sense of it all, she headed to the baths anyway. She scrubbed away the nonexistent dirt and sank into the pool to soak.

She was soon joined by another, though Shouji's own wish wasn't to get clean. Well, not exactly. He intended to relax in the warm water, and maybe wrap his mind around what was happening.

Not that he was likely to achieve that. After washing away the grime from what, two days ago? He moved towards the baths proper and slid into the water. Giving a polite nod to the young woman who was soaking nearby.

"Good morning." she returned the nod. "The water is very soothing today."

"Quite true." The young man murmured contentedly as he sunk down into the water past his shoulders. "And good morning to you too."

"Just starting your day as well?"

"Hai." she nodded. "I felt a bit odd when I woke up. The waters help clear my mind."

"Mmmmm. I believe I can understand that feeling." The Mantis replied, his lips moving into a half smile, though he didn't turn to face the woman.

"You're right though, the water does help. It's like a good soak helps you focus."

"I remember recuing people from drowning last night." she mused. "But, my clothes were clean and dry this morning. It's strange."

"That seems odd." He mused, glancing towards the woman. He didn't remember anything of that sort. "And it wasn't a dream?"

"I do not think so." she shook her head. "If it was, it was very vivid. In the past, I've experienced a sense of reliving a moment I have witnessed before. But, I have not lost a moment like this before."

"Hrm, then we have a similar experience." The Captain mused. "Though I have no memory of a swim in the sea myself. Just a few other things, some of which seem to have repeat from yesterday."

"Something is definitely strange about today."

"Not that all of yesterday was that much more normal." Sea monsters and ghosts among other things. "But yes today is rather off, and I have no idea why."

He did need to look into it though. "I suppose I should add that I'm Tsuruchi Shouji, Captain of the Sea Fox. So you aren't just chatting with some strange man in the baths."

"Fuzake Hifumi, diviner of the Monkey. I'm sure there are some who would consider me a strange woman." she shrugged. "A sea monster? Maybe that had something to do with people throwing themselves into the sea."

"A pleasure Fuzake-san." He offered pausing a momentto think.
"That sounds an odd way to confront a sea monster." It sounded like a way to get eaten by one though.

"Unless it has some ways off drawing people to it. Though it seemed more of a hunter from what I heard."

"If the day is being repeated, we may have the chance to investigate that." she said. "We may have to."

"Mmmm.... I did a little looking into it yesterday. Though more would be good" He agreed his lips drawn into a thin line. "I wouldn't want to lose any more of my crew."

"I would hope that no lives would be lost from this. But, that seems unlikely." she frowned.

"Honestly I have no idea where this may lead." He conceded with a sigh. "Though I do hope not many lives are lost. Its an ill omen for a wedding."

"It is." she agreed. "Have you visited Fire Shrimp Village before?"

"No." It was easy enough to admit. "There isn't much to draw a vessel such as mine here."

"What of yourself, first time visiting?"

"Hai." she nodded. "I travel where fate leads me. It led me here."

That seemd likea rather free life for a samurai, not that he was going to say that our loud. "Mmmm. I would ask if you were enjoying your time here..."

"But the oddities of this place make it unlikely."

"It is pleasant enough." she shrugged. "More exciting than many of the places I've visited."

"I suppose it might be at that." Sea Monsters, repeating days. It wasn't a place he would have fond memories of. Not for the most part.

"Still i doubt I'll find my way here again after I leave."
