Ikeda Ishi unsheathed her blade and stood in the hallway waiting for Sutorenja and said, “Well senpai, it seems we meet again. I did not wish it to be this way, but Duty has bound me.”

Sutorenja drew her blade in one smooth motion and said, “Why are you doing this? Why have you chosen to kill me?”

Ikeda Ishi frowned and said, “For the future of the Empire, it must be done.”

OOC: Open to the first two players to arrive.

Rounding the corner Yoko came in on the sight. "This- wasn't what I expected to walk into. Doubt many do, eh" she chuckles, it's tinged with the twitching of her nerve.

Stood there she looked at them both like it was a picture and she didn't have concerns for anything or anywhere else.

From the shadows, the dread magistrate himself emerges.

He says nothing, but illegal violence will not be accepted on his watch.

Ikeda Ishi said, “Magistrate, this woman is a criminal, I have a writ for her death signed by Oturi Toturi for crimes against the Imperial family. Aid me in ending this monster’s life.”

"The Empress herself has signed off on the death of this ronin, and yet she made it through to the village and wasn't captured on sight."

The magistrate's voice offers no belief.

"Ronin, stay there. Imperial, show me the writ."

Sutorenja narrowed her eyes and said, "You are making a mistake, I am no threat to the Throne."

She raised her weapon, "And I will not submit."

"Explain more, and quickly, please," Yoko put the words out there, to Sutorenja, doing what she might to make heads or tails of it all.

Yoko's hand was raised, just a tad, just a little ready even if she had no idea in this world or the next what she was ready for.

"For now, I am asking for your patience, not your submission.These are serious allegations."

The Ikeda produced a scroll with a broken seal of the Oturi Toturi, second son of the Empress. She holds it out to the Crane.

Konohamaru reads the scroll.

He presented the scroll to the Ikeda representative, letting her see the replica.

"This is a replica, for many reasons. Firstly, the Empress uses a special kind of ink to ensure that only the Empress can make these. Not only is the ink a slightly dark green in colour, but if you have the seal of the Empress you would always, without fail, have the seal or chop of the Lord Consort and at least one Imperial family head or Emerald magistrate. You never get the Empress' seal alone on an Imperial decree. Not because it's required, but because for either of them not to mark it is high treason and they would be executed by Imperial law."

"Thirdly, and this really should have tipped you off - someone wrote 'the bitch' in the description for her list of crimes committed. To save face, nothing Imperial makes use of swears. Whoever forged this did a terrible job."

His spare hand still went for his jitte, however, just in case.

Ikeda Ishi is stunned and says, “It cannot be, this was sealed by Lord Toturi, it cannot be false.”

“I nearly killed her… on false premises. I am not worthy to live.”

Konohamaru looks at the accused ronin to see her reaction, but as he does puts a hand over the Imperial's wakizashi.

"Your life is still required. What is your name?"

"Well.. today's.. weird.." Yoko commented, absently to herself as she stood where she was.

The ronin sheathed her weapon and approached, "Magistrate may I see that writ?"

Konohamaru nods, handing it over.

"I'll need to keep it as evidence after you read it. See if anything writing wise stands out to you."

"Not everyday someone has the daisho to forge an Imperial Writ from the Empress herself."

“No not the Empress, but still… I didn’t. I would not have believed it if I had not … I should have taken the warning seriously. I am sorry, to everyone, I have put you in danger because of my selfish actions,” she said with a deep bow.

"So, you running from something toward the Crab or someone just doesn't want to see you go?" she asked, adding herself in a little more.

Konohamaru gave up some space for the Ronin to take the floor.

The ronin would likely be more comfortable speaking to another ronin.

A door slides open and another ronin looked in, "It seems I was not needed."

He turned to Sutorenja and said with a smirk, "I apologize my lady, I had orders."
