[D7 EA] Fishing Falcon

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko decided to come to the docks and let Kuma do his thing. They may hunt big game but the little falcon needs small fish to eat. She wondered how would she go to the Crane gala when she already wore her best. The girl patted her dog's head.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Shouji was on his way back towards the Sea Fox when he spotted the familiar falcon and her dog. He was still dressed from his clothing from court so it was rather obvious he was just making it back.

"Toritaka-san." He called as he moved closer. "What brings you to the docks today?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

She points to the falcon out at sea dancing in sky looking for a fish. "Kuma wanted to go fishing. So here I am keeping him out of trouble." She explained. "The docks are a better place for him to fish and if he needed rescue easier for me to go in and aid."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"With boats here to aide you im sure that would certainly be helpful." Though couldn't she just buy something for the bird?

"Though I wonder if he gets into trouble very often."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Kuma is a troublemaker when he is in the mood for trouble. And make it double when he gets Sari involved." She chuckled. "He maybe one of the smartest falcons you may meet."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I'll remember that." Shouji replied his eyes moving towards the bird as it flew through the sky. "From what I've seen at least he has seemed quite smart. Well, except for the part about being a trouble maker you mentioned."

"That doesn't seem the most intelligent thing for one such as him."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Don't let him intimidate you." She smiled. "May inquire something, Tsuruchi sama?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I didn't plan to." Shouji replied with a soft chuckle.

"A question? Sure, what did you wish to know, Toritaka-san?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I do not wish to be rude but what is the... how may I put this..." She looked at the bird in the sky. "trouble brewing between the blue birds and the green insects?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Shouji smirked at that. "Trouble between Avian and Insect? Not as far as I'm concerned. Or Kakita Konohamaru-sama."

He pursed his lips. "Are certain Avians upset because of my actions? Certainly, though I'd argue that they are just as responsible as I am. The difference being I'm not upset about it." He reached a hand up to rub at his chin. "Though I am curious as to what brought the question up."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I see... just a good investigator needs to hear the both sides of the koku in a manner of speaking." She nodded. "A certain Avian was displeased, I am not quite sure why. I just wanted to be enlightened by the non avian side."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"So it's not just ghosts you investigate then?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Or is this new territory you're treading on?"

"I suppose I could share my accounting though. But I will ask if you wish to hear of it before you speak in detail about it to the Avian you fly so close to?"

There was a slight pause. "I should likely add that I don't necessarily seek reconciliation."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"It is a perk of my training. To have eyes to see beyond certain things. Thus one need to be aware of false leads. It is not new to this one the art of inquiry." She nodded. "One must be open for not all threats to the Empire or clans is spiritual in nature." She tilted her head. "I am willing to listen and perhaps negotiate peace treatise with the avian and yourself." A sigh. "If you don't wish such thing then still the ear is open."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"If you wish to attempt that course, I won't deny you. I am a busy man though and have little time for one who would let anger color him so." He paused a moment to organize his thoughts.

"I have been a part of certain events that leave me privy to knowledge that many are unaware of. It was with this knowledge and at the direction of one higher placed then I that I went to confront one who some might call a villain."

"It was there your Avain decided to step in my way, to greet me with a lack of sincerity. For what reasons I can't quite fathom, but I can only assume he wished to deliver this villain aide. I tried to phrase my words to let him know there were reasons for this, but I also countered him with a lack of courtesy and brought into question the sincerity of him words. He and his companion both missed my point, and let their anger color them before immediately leaving. In that time my friend Yoko-san also pointed out that I was correct in doubting his words. Thats a small matter though."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I see." She nodded. "I will not favor either action for I just wanted to know your side of the koku. If something would rise, I just wanted to know." She looked at the falcon who just caught its prey. "He got it!"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"With some of the friends he keeps I'll be unlikely to approach him." Shouji conceded. Honestly the woman kept similar friends, but seemed less a tool of the Otomo. "I should send word that I will be unable to return him home though. My ship has other passengers to carry."

He watched the bird catch the fish and he smiled. "That was well done."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I shall try secure him save passage by land if he so warrants." She smiled at the thought. "It is understandable. Seems that the weather will favor your sails."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I'm sure you both might enjoy the extra time together." Shouji observed with a slight smile. "But yes, we'll sail with the winds and make good time." There was a surety to his voice about it that made one believe he had no doubt at all abotu it.

"Though I suppose the question will linger about how long the Sea Fox will remain in the Capital."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I hope so. May be one day, bygones will be just that." She nodded. "I hope I can be your friend despite my other avian friends." She chuckled as Kuma proved he is a trouble maker fighting off a seagull that want a piece of his catch.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I will answer honestly." He paused a moment to let that sink in. "I don't mind being your friend, Toritaka-san. Though I don't think I can be on good terms with all of your friends."

"Not counting the Avian one." His eyes looked towards Kuma, and he smiled. "Seems he's got the upper hand there."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"One can never know what the future holds." She bowed. "I understand." Kuma did have the upper hand, wing...claw. The seagull left injured. "I know that if certain avian was a bit more open probably would be a good friend." She nodded. "For now just know that I am still at your disposal if you need any help that I can provide you know how to reach me."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I'm unlikely to see him again after a few days, im fairly certain that doesn't leave the time for reconciliation and friendship to develop." Shouji replied with a brief smile. "Not that I will say it's impossible."

"I'll remember that though." He smiled. "Though it's my hope not to have to call on you fir anything dire."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"It is understandable." She nodded "Hopefully it will not be a dire situation."
Aren't the Otomo one to try and keep the clans at each other's throat?
"Probably something some forget, about the duties of the Otomo." Kuma had come victorious of his hunt. Hopefully theirs will prove fruitful as well.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He raised an eyebrow at that. "Oh I know the duties of the Otomo very well, and at least one of the members here has been doing just that."

"At least as far as I can infer from what I've been told." The fact that one was always at a Cranes side was just further proof.

"But yes, no more dire situations. I think the wedding has had enough of them."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"I hope so too." Hanatsuko nodded. "I will miss this view and the beach." She looked at the many ships in the docks. "It is a nice place."
