This seems to be the core of the problem and the threat to Lady Yushoko and her betrothed. These other… fanciful stories are a distraction,” Kintaro said growing uneasy with all this chat of things that were not fit for polite company.

"This might be relevant, but Aji-san knows of another version of the story. In the version she heard, Gusari and Bujeihime were at least friendly and had a little figurine on their person from a pair at all times. Maybe they need to be reunited?"

"This may be before the child, Kakita-bugyo." He replies in a quiet tone. "It would not be surprising that they had such certain closeness before the child."
