Crazy Is, As Crazy Does [Day 4, EA]

[Yoko]

Stopping before the castle Yoko reached down to her side, pulling the bottle that hung there up into her hands. Sake from the Otomo, she nodded to herself with a smirk. Confident, she walked up to the castle and waited it sought the guard who would undoubtedly accost or otherwise question her.

[Dapper Dog]

They dressed her down and then once satisfied they had a servant deliver her to the room of Ikeda Ishi.

[Yoko]

Passed the guards she couldn't help but comment to herself how much easier that was than she expected. Still, at the door she announced herself and tried to settle her stomach a little.

Working out in her head how she was going to go about this, hand on her hip she "Good morning, how are you," she shook her head, too.. normal.

"I'm sorry to disturb you," she shook her head again, that didn't sound like her at all. Or maybe it did? Shaking her head, she gave herself a quick pep-talk in mind and pushed herself forward, making her presence known to Ishi.

If, well, she hadn't accidentally already.

[Dapper Dog]

A servant opens the door quietly and inside is a darkened room and where the bed is a is a mound of sheets and covers.

[Yoko]

Yoko poked her head in a little, looked to the servant, "Is she supposed to be in there?"

[Ikeda Ishi]

The servant noded.

Then the mound replied, "There is nothing... and this is just a dream."

[Yoko]

"Stay here a second but.. not too close, eh? If I don't come back out in a few, you're free to leave," she said to the servant, stepping in with the assumption that the servant might close the door. Carefully making her way into the room a little, as to not be too disrespectful. Yoko walked halfway toward the mound and spoke, "Ikeda-sama? It's Yoko. Can I.. can we talk? Things are real weird but.."

[Ikeda Ishi]

“This is just a dream,” she hissed.

“A dream.”

[Yoko]

Yoko got closer, right to the edge of the mound and leaned down onto her knees. "I- today's strange.. things are repeating. Half the reason I came here, eh? So.. I'm guessing you remember it all too." Yoko thinks to reach out a little but just balls her hands up on her knees. Leaning her head a little, concerned, "A-are you alright, Ikeda-sama?

[Ikeda Ishi]

She finally threw aside the covers and sheets, revealing a wild eyed woman. Her face stained with tears and a manic look and she said, “You are just another part of the dream… great now wolves invade my dreams.”

“I have to go and do my duty, I am being punished for not killing her.”

[Yoko]

There was a certain kind of feeling in the pit of her stomach she couldn't tackle now. Bringing up her arms she waved them in slow, calming motions with the calming shushing sound added in for good measure. "Let's not go crazy, Ikeda-sama, please. This isn't a dream, and if you need me to convince you somehow just say it and I'll do it, eh?" she says, cracks a soft smile. "We're reliving the day- somehow, all of us. Even if you deserved a punishment, which I don't believe anyone thinks you do, I really doubt I'd get suckered into it too, eh?"

[Ikeda Ishi]

"So we should live the day again? And do what? How long will this dream last," she said with a confused and slightly wild eyed look.

[Yoko]

"I don't know but-" she looks to her, offers a soft smile and a shrug. "Crazy as all this is, there are many who don't realize the day is repeating again. Me, you.. others too, we're awake to it, whatever it is. Which means that we're in a position to do something about it, eh?" Yoko gives a pause, taking the moment and exhaling, nodding to Ishi. "I'm going to do something with it, this moment, best as I can. Move forward rather than lose myself to this craziness. It's what mom would do."

"I'd like-" she shook her head, "we have no way of knowing how many people are affected, who knows and who's unaware. I know you and I are aware now, eh? So.. we can start piecing things together. What do you say, willing to work with me on this? Try to figure it all out?"

[Ikeda Ishi]

She thought long and hard and then said, "Yes."

[Yoko]

All while Ishi thought Yoko looked to her, waiting for the answer, alive to the hope and dread in the moment. Smiling like a big dumb idiot she opened her mouth to speak, chuckled warmly, "Great. Okay- so, we move forward then. First we approach the day, eh? Anything you need to help get ready? I can catch you up on what little I know in the meantime."

[Ikeda Ishi]

She rose and summoned a servant to bring her cleaning water. She said, "Catch me up, Yoko-san... might as well ride this out."

[Yoko]

"Alright," she nodded, rising from where she was to make room. Finding somewhere just nearby and out of the way to sit. "So, this morning when I figured out was going on I was checking something, but before I get into that you should know that our mutual friend. You know, the one with the enemies? Well, she's been alerted to the danger again but unfortunately she doesn't retain her memories of the previous day."

"Beyond that, I was trying to figure something out, something strange. When I was in the town the other day there was this woman, a Crane by the look of her armor preparing for battle. We spoke briefly and she walked off out of town. Now, normally I wouldn't think this connected but- well.. she just vanished. Weird, eh?" she says, smirking a little as she shook her head. "Didn't think much of it until today. I went back to try and find her but- well, she didn't appear again. Gotta be connected, I figure."

[Ikeda Ishi]

"A Crane woman just vanishes in the Crab lands," Ishi responded.

"Maybe the whole village is mad."

[Yoko]

"Been hearing a lot of talk about spirits about lately. Strange happenings. Would have said that everyone just had their nerves in bundle but," she smirked, shrugged, "situation we're in maybe it's something we need to focus on a little more, eh? Anyway.. I think there's something to this woman and this place. She seemed convinced that the Crab were coming to "take the ground' to put it in vaguely similar terms to how she did. That's what I'm going to start looking into a bit, see what if there's a thread there I think."

"Other than that a lot of things have gone back to how they were, much as I wouldn't believe it," she took the fine sake from Yusuke up into her hand, showed it off. "We drank this the other night and yet here it is again. Small pleasure," she shook her head.

"Thinking of that-" she shook her head. "Well, before that, any questions or can I ask one of my own?"

[Ikeda Ishi]

Something snapped in the Imperial and she smacked the bottle out of the woman's hand.

[Yoko]

Yoko flinched, wide eyed a moment she just looked ahead, over toward where the bottle most certainly would have crashed onto the floor, and then back at Ishi. "I-" she stammered, caught her tongue. Shaking her head she came back to it, exhaling deeply as she held her other hand down into her lap. "I- I'm.. what was that about?"

[Ikeda Ishi]

"Just... sorry, nothing it was reflex," she said before rubbing her throat.

"Sorry, you were saying?"

[Yoko]

"I'm not sure what you heard but-" she shook her head. "I was also going to ask if you spoke to Otomo Yusuke last night.." she said, paused and looked to Ishi seriously for a moment, feeling a growing pit in her stomach. "D-did you go to see him?"

[Ikeda Ishi]

"Hai, and I killed him," she said finishing her cleaning.

"After he poisoned me."

[Yoko]

Pit turned into a ball and only threatened to keep growing. Yoko had to hold her hand down into her thigh to focus herself lest she let the shaking of her hand be noticeable. "O-oh, I-" she chuckled uncomfortably, "I never thought it would have gone down quite like that- much as I worried but," she looked down, thought. "If- if he remembers.." she let the thought sit with herself a moment, nothing about it was likeable.
