Out for a Stroll [Day 3, MM]

[Yoko]

Supposedly, somewhere in this village was a red flag that might answer a few more questions toward just what kind of work this was. Being of the inquisitive nature as she could only help so much Yoko made her way out early, walking through the village in hopes of finding the clue.

[Dapper Dog]

[Dapper Dog]

The village is busy with people taking down decorations and cleaning up after the prior days activities.

Yet no sign of this clue she is looking for, she could ask round perhaps.

[Yoko]

After the bit of searching she did she could only laugh to herself a bit, "Alright- so, this is going as well as I expected," she said, shaking her head. Glancing around again she found someone nearby, figured the first was the best, and walked up, "Hey, mind if I ask you something quick? You seen a red flag anywhere around here?"

[Dapper Dog]

"A red flag?" the old woman said as she hung up clothes.

[Yoko]

"Supposed to be, yea," she holds up both hands, laughing a little awkwardly. "I know it seems strange to be asking around about it, eh?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Umm not sure but I think I saw one on the next road, by the well," she said with a nod to the ronin.

[Yoko]

Giving the woman a easily offered smile, "You're kind, thank you. I hope you have a pleasant day, eh?" and without further ado, she saw herself off toward the well.

[Dapper Dog]

She gets to the well to find a samurai, cleaning a keen katana. She was an older woman and wore light armor, but the mon on them was clearly Crane.

[Yoko]

Yoko walked up, stood close enough and looked to the woman with a raised brow. Putting her hand on her hip so it rested above her sword.

"Hey," was all she said to start.

[Dapper Dog]

"Good morning, wolf, shouldn't you be getting ready?" she said to the woman with a command like tone.

"You won't earn your coin if you don't fight."

[Yoko]

"Morning," she said, nodding with a smile. Bringing her other arm over and hooking her thumb in front and center in her obi.

"Cant fight if you don't know who," she returned. "Keep ready for anything, best as I can, I was taught well like that, eh?"

[Dapper Dog]

She snapped her eyes back to the ronin, “The Crab are our foe, are you one of the stupid ones that needs constant guidance. Get your gear and report to the front ronin. Be quick about it before I cut you down where you stand. We will not lose this ground on my watch.”

[Yoko]

Yoko let the thumb slip out, looking to the woman with a rather bewildered expression, "You- what? There's no fight here-" she brought the hand up that slipped out and waved it about a little before just holding her palm up. "Hold up, what's going on?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't have time for this foolishness get your battle kit together," she said putting her kabuto in place and walking towards the edge of town.

[Yoko]

Throughout perplexed Yoko looked around a moment, seeing if anyone else was seeing this but didn't let that stop her for following behind the woman to see where she was going. As she started to walk her hand dropped from her waist and rested on her blade, thumb resting along the saya length wise.

[Dapper Dog]

They get to the edge of the village and the woman simply faded from sight.

[Yoko]

"That was-" she looked out toward where the woman faded. Putting her hand back up onto her hip for the moment. "Maybe I should have tried asking for her name?" she said it to herself, scarcely wanting to believe her eyes but here she was.

Without much else to do she turned back toward the village, aiming to check out the well a bit more after whatever that was.

[Dapper Dog]

Back at the well a few peasants are gathering water.

[Yoko]

"Hey," she walked up, calling them to as she approached. "Mind if I ask a weird question?" she stopped, putting her hand in her hip much as she had prior.

[Dapper Dog]

"Not at all samurai-sama," one of the peasants responded.

[Yoko]

"Hypothetically, let's say I saw a woman with Crane armor, full kit kabuto and all, sitting here just a bit ago, talking about some battle, and then heading out of the village. Does any of that sound.. familiar?"

[Dapper Dog]

"The Crane are attacking!" one said with surprise.

"I knew it!" another said grabbing his things.

[Yoko]

"Wait wait wait, hold up," she brought her hands up and waved them down in a passive motion. "She left the village, eh? Wouldn't be making much sense if they were to walk out of the village, right? Disappeared, didn't quite seem.. right. Nothing to worry about when it's just a lone woman, eh?"
