Vagabond [Day 1, MM]

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko took a seat. "I am a spirit hunter... I looking for a certain spirit." She explained. "I was going to Shiro Kuni to find a friend and for some odd reason I got here."

[Yoko]

"Soo-" she quirked a brow, shrugged and then took up her original seat. Letting her legs lay off the dock she leaned back and supported herself on her arms. "Right.. certain kind of spirit. Why?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"He stole our food." She sighed. "Sakkau's spirits are mischievous and sometime step over the line." She tried her best to swallow her anger as it had been a difficult catch even with the aid of her trusty Kuma.

[Yoko]

"H-how does that work?" she asked, half-chuckling when she caught the laugh and swallowed it. Coughing when she tried to speak again. Showing she was alright, though, with a quick wave of her hand, "A-anyway, I mean, spirits, took your food? How much food? Is it all that important to.. chase him all the way out here?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko looked at the ronin and shook her head. "I guess it the instinct of a hen mother to protect and feed her children be them human or animal." She patted Sari on the head. "The amount of food is irrelevant, Yoko san. It is the mockery after the fact." Sari moved to place her head on Hana's lap as she scratched behind the ear.

[Yoko]

"Right but- you came all this way, eh?" she said, her brow quirked. "Surely it isn't worth all that much? Even if this spirit did cause a bit of a.. mockery. Wouldn't the spirit not really understand? Bygones by bygones and move on, eh?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Hanatsuko shook her head. "It is my duty, Yoko san, to get it back to where he belongs." She placed knee close to her chest. "It may have been a small and harmless prank but what keeps the pranker spirit from doing something worse. One thing can lead to another and fortunes know what else."

[Yoko]

"Well, then I hope you find a good end to your duty, eh? Doesn't feel much like I'm doing a good job of it if I don't offer a hand for coin but," she laughed, waving her hand a bit, "I'm not apt for work that doesn't involve stabbing something. Guess I know my limits well, eh?" she shook her head.

"All the best of luck to you, Toritaka-sama. So, while you're here, joining in the festivities somewhat or is it all work for you?"

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"All work and no play make a samurai duty dull." She winked at her dog. "I'll be joining the festivities and represent the minor clans."

[Yoko]

"Well, that's good," she says, nodded. Glancing off around the dock she didn't have much more to say, but was rather intent on enjoying the morning while the worlds breath still hung before the great surge of activity consumed the rest of the village.
