[D8 EA] Dancing Kuma

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku moves further off in her dance, focusing on the steps and the surprising challenge of balancing the falcon.

[Kakita Masao]

Hanatsuko smiled blushing as heat of the moment subsided. "You were also great, Kakita san." She started to reach for his hand slowly trying to be discrete. He had flaunted his feather and she knew his feelings for her.

Masao notices her hand and makes his easy to reach. He moves so that when their hands touch, the view from Yuuwaku is blocked, even if Kuma relaxes his wings. It would appear from his stance like he's looking at some aspect of the meager garden, but there's nothing there to justify it. And his eyes are only for Hanatsuko anyway.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Kuma tried his best not to shift the dancer with his weight as he moved up her arm and to her shoulder. He continued to chatter.
Should we leave these two birds alone. You must be tired Lady Kakita I won't mind. May be you can fluff my feathers. If you know what I mean.

Hanatsuko's fingers slowly interlaced with his making the blush that was subsiding come back again. Her eyes were low trying to hide her enjoyment of the two being just in this moment. "Kakita kun..." She smiled. Her hand gave his a gentle squeeze.

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku stops still as the bird moves, the sensation strange to her--but not unpleasant.

Facing decidedly away from the other two, she moves to stroke Kuma's feathers.

"I bet you like that," she says. "I've known few men who don't."

[Kakita Masao]

Masao's ears feel warm from the continued excitement of her touch. He slides closer again, so that the shoulders above their held hands may touch, just barely.

"Yes, Toritaka-san." His voice, low but resonant, suggests both question and answer.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

I am a good bird... About that kiss...I want to make Otomo sempai mad. You know. Kuma rubbed his beak on Yuuwaku's face. His wings were still spread covering the view.

"You... you can call me Hana..." She kissed his hand. Her heart was pounding as her excitement continued to draw her closer to the young man. "If you want..." She whispered in his ear.

[Kakita Masao]

With her so close, Masao can't help but stop to breathe in her scent, revel in her touch, and at the invitation... It takes him a moment to speak in response, perhaps almost so long that she would worry she frightened him, but his eyes look into hers and fear is certainly not what she sees.

"I would like that... Very much," he says, a little awkwardly but with sincerity. He tucks his flute into his obi, glances just briefly toward the others in the garden, and then turns his back to them entirely.

"As you are... very close to my heart. Hana-san." And he raises her hand and holds it to his chest, and she may feel some of the thunder of his racing heart.

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"Aren't you just the most affectionate thing!" Yuuwaku says, giving the bird scritchies.

Everybody likes scritchies.

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

Kuma thrilled at the scritches lowering the guard of his wings.

Hana placed his hand on her chest. "As you move my heart..." She smiled. She moved to his ear once again. "And stir my soul..." By accident her lips brushed his cheek.

[Kakita Masao]

Masao's eyes close and he exhales as exhilaration runs through him.

Alright, alright, grandson. You've had your fun. Remember not just who's over there but who is all around this house.

The man takes a heavy breath, and as he opens his eyes, he seems about to speak. But his eyes fall upon his hand, resting near Hana's heart, and he looks thoughtful for a moment. Then he says, "I will never dishonor this good heart."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

She continued to blush. She noted his wariness and nodded. Still heart was pounding loudly but Hana knew how to lower her excitement. She took her hand off his chest. "Neither will this one." She lowered her eyes a bit sadden. As the many emotions stirred, even when amour was in the air, doubt as well.

"Masao san... you can never dishonor this one." She sighed. "I... I... think Kuma and I should go."

BUT MY KISS! DON'T YOU DARE.

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku feels the bird tense up on her arm. She makes quiet soothing noises and switches from scritchies to stroking.

"Such soft feathers," she coos, "and smooth ones."

[Kakita Masao]

Self-conscious now that it's only his hand on her, Masao pulls the hand back quickly. Then curses himself for being so jumpy. At her downcast eyes and words of parting, his heart falls. Damn it. I screwed it up. Grandson, stop being so dramatic. Be happy for your moment. You're getting rather more of them than you should already.

"Ah, if you think that's best...," he can't hide the disappointment, though he knows they were in a dangerous situation. "But, um, we'll talk later, right? There's the wedding later, which I have to attend..." Kakita Masao! You are honored to attend your noble cousin's wedding in the name of your father and family! Have you forgotten why you came here? Masao closes his eyes and takes a gentle breath. Then, more centered and clear: "I would very much like to see you later this evening."

[Toritaka Hanatsuko]

"Of course, Masao san." She looked up and smiled. "It would be an honor to meet later."

Nononononono... what about my kiss! Kakita san... help a brother out! What about me! ooooooh... that feels good! yeah. Kuma calmed down. He melted in Yuuwaku's touch.

Hana one last time placed her hand on top of Masao's giving it a gentle squeeze as she stood up.

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

As the falcon--not the Falcon--leans into being petted, Yuuwaku kisses the top of its head.

"Such a good bird," she says. "And so handsome, too!"

[Kakita Masao]

Masao rejoices in the touch again, but steps aside so Hana can collect Kuma. This was even more fun than expected, he thinks, smiling more broadly than is proper. Grandson!
