"Yes we have spoken of her child on many occasions, as to the marriage proposal. That was a surprise, though the lineage of Otomo Saisei is not unknown to me," she said in reply.

"It could be a plot by my old Master, but if so I know not why outside of the reasons given."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"The only thing I can think of is if he still plans to work against her. Putting a man who he influences by her side gives him a degree of power. Otomo Saisei did already influence her in a way with his answers today."

He paused a moment. "Not to mention taking an Imperial consort removes a way to bring her closer to the clans. If this turns to violence a wedding is a way to bring her more allies."

The Mantis shook his head. "Perhaps this is just my dislike of both men showing though."

[Ikeda Ishi]

"Welcome to life at the Capitol," she mused.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"And some people wonder why I spend most of my time on my ship." Shouji replied amused at the young woman's answer.

If he didn't like someone he could just toss them overboard in a storm. Not that he would actually do such a thing. "I see you are overjoyed at returning home." He added his tone teasing.

[Ikeda Ishi]

"Not everything I left behind was of value to me," she responded coyly.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"That's something I think I can understand." He replied with an easy smile. "Though now I wonder if you have found things on your travels that are if value to you." Shouji asked a playful smile on his lips as he watched the young woman.

[Ikeda Ishi]

"I have discovered things that have surprised me and brought value to my life," she responded.

"I trust you can say the same as well?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He thought that over for a few moments before nodding. "Yes, I think I have. It wasn't exactly what I was seeking when I came here."

"But I'm not disappointed."

[Ikeda Ishi]

She was unsure of the meaning but nodded and said, "Then all is well."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Yes, it's not like marriage is yet a high priority for me." He agreed with a smile. "If things take a turn for the bloody waiting is likely wise anyways."

"I should likely let you get back to your duties though." He raised an eyebrow. "Unless there is something you need from me?"

[Ikeda Ishi]

"I would not wish to impose any further on Tsuruchi-sama," she offered.

"Thank you for your visit."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I enjoyed it myself." He dipped into a polite bow. "But have a pleasant evening, Ikeda-san."

"Feel free to call on me if you should need anything."
