[Day 6 - LM] Miya and You

[Asahina Sanaharu]

An imperial heir is chosen and so many people now talk with the Otomo. Maybe they would think he was related to all this? Of course they had some interest... And for now, the Asahina was pretty happy to hear where they would lead the conversation to. He looked at the side to the Otomo — he liked being spoken in behalf of. Thus, he joined the bandwagon, bowing deeply to the Captain and her most illustrious company.

"One with the odds never to happen again unless fate dictates so. Have you eaten your rice today, Captain?"

Yusuke for his part smiled warmly at the interception.

With all the Great Clanners approaching the Otomo, it would hardly do for a Minor Clanner to join them.

... keeping an eye on the Imperial would be good, though. Just...

he wasn't used to that sort of thing. If there was danger involved, it wasn't the type he was used to dealing with.

Still... just keeping an eye on him. Maybe find out where he might be going. Or who was going with him...

Ren had suspected that something was up. It's a bit of a sad smile as the announcement is made.

Having absorbed all that the voice inside his head could share, Masao was not pleased to suddenly see a gaggle of people approaching the Otomo. Still, as a Crane, and someone who can do math, it hardly seems a time to get huffy.

"Good morning, Tsuruchi-sama," he says with rather less feeling, and a more modest bow, than he might otherwise. "Auspicious, surely, though perhaps not for my hope to speak with Otomo-sama just now. But before we speak of that, I don't believe I've formally met your colleagues?"

For the sake, if nothing else, of saving his own face in whatever matter the entourage wanted to address with Yusuke, the Crane politely but firmly insists on time being spent for all the needed introductions. Whoever I'm helping here had better appreciate the time I'm buying with this nonsense.

Shouji looked over the Crane for a moment, leave it to the Crane to try to butt in when they didn't know what was going on. "Oh, and here I thought you would have gotten to know at least some you traveled south with, Kakita-san." The Captain replied his tone dry.

He sent a subtle glance towards the direction that the new Empress had retreated in. "Still here have at one time been guests on my ship. So I won't leave you wondering about their identities. The Crane are friends of the Mantis aren't they?" He shifted slightly. "May i present to you, Ikeda Hiro, his page Ikeda, Ishi and the Ronin Yoko."

"I have." He replied looking towards the Asahina for a moment, before his lips curled into a half smile. "Though is that really what you want to know?"

Shouji looked over the Crane for a moment, leave it to the Crane to try to butt in when they didn't know what was going on. "Oh, and here I thought you would have gotten to know at least some you traveled south with, Kakita-san." The Captain replied his tone dry.

"I have." He replied looking towards the Asahina for a moment, before his lips curled into a half smile. "Though is that really what you want to know?"

This was the third time he wanted to call a duel. Not only by the tenets of the Asahina but also by good sense, however, relations with this one should stay as pacific as possible. Let's see how much trade you will be able to do, though, with that attitude, little man. You have not the only boat in the sea and are using your rank to bite people with good connections.

He bowed slightly only as appropriate by the Crane, but still gracefully, to his companions, turning his attention back to the Captain. "Such as the weaver threads cloth, a man threads words. They create meaning underlying, sustaining the part to be shown above. In this manner, one discerns wishes and intentions. Is this right, Tsuruchi-ue?"

[Yoko]

"Kakita-sama, good to see you again," she said, her tone was measured given the current company. Having stepped forward a bit as to call some attention to herself from the Kakita, and how she stood by Shouji.

[Kakita Masao]

The Kakita bristles at the captain's tone as well as his words, but he keeps a civil tongue. The look he gives to Yoko lets her know how much he's struggling in the moment. But he sees no katana on the Mantis and understands that. And he sees the imperials behind them, and understands that.

"Tsuruchi-sama's belated attention to the hospitality of introductions is well received," he begins sarcastically, though his jaw is nearly clenched. "But I sense an urgency to some matter that seems important enough to you to interrupt us here, so very well," he shakes the sarcasm, takes a heavy breath, and continues with great sincerity, "In respect to my cousin and her upcoming wedding, and in respect to our hosts and the safety that all their guests should enjoy here, I shall suffer your behavior this time. In the future, I hope that behavior will be different."

"Asahina-san, let us away. I'm sure we'll have occasion to speak with the captain again." /exit

[Asahina Sanaharu]

Sanaharu had a good ōn. This was fortunate. On all that Masao meant — he would not dare pacifying the two after this war declaration — his expression was unchanged.

Thanks, Masao. You made this court more interesting than your father's for once.

Had he not the motivation to become a Jester before? Now he did. Now sure he did. He looked around, but saw no Yuuwaku — and then he grew wary. She sure would like to be on a place like this, unless she was taking care of her groom-to-be?

He bows deeply to the Otomo. "Otomo-sama, it was my greatest wish to stay. However, Masao-dono calls me. Our meeting was brief, unfortunately. I pray in the future that we may encounter again."

His mind drifted already to a later meeting in the Blue Bird...

"It will mirrow your own, Kakita-san." Shouji replied simply offering the two a polite bow. They wouldn't think him for this, but then they were Crane. Crane that needed to be out of the way for the moment.

His eyes then moved to the Otomo. "Good morning, Otomo-sama."

[Yoko]

Yoko quirked a brow as the Crane walked off. Despite one of them being Masao she couldn't help but smirk a little. More than that though, she did her best to contain.

[Otomo Yusuke]

"Tsuruchi-san, you scattered the Crane, how dashing. How can this humble servant be of service to you and yours?" he responded.

[Ikeda Ishi]

Ishi offered, "We need to speak, we can do so here or in private, Otomo-sama."

[Otomo Yusuke]

Glancing to Hiro who just nodded and then back to the Mantis he offered, "Yes, I think we do have much to speak about. My chambers are always open to you."

So.... Yoko, the Tsuruchi captain and Ishi.

He wondered if he should worry. Probably... but he didn't know what about, for now.

Maybe he would find out later. Maybe he wouldn't.

He kept silent for some more minutes, then took the chance to greet those who he hadn't, and left.
