Once again I have been much less active than I'd hoped to, once again had a lot of fun nonetheless.

Thanks for those I shared threads with, it's been great. Still have a few things to try and wrap up, but ask away!

I'll admit, I've never thought about a Highland Badger. Any particular thing made you want to make the character?

Also, I must leave this here, having grown up with this stuff XD

Sorry I didn't get to play with you more!

Will Taiki be returning?

Hah! Thanks for the video, I love it! Haha

As for why the "highlander Badger" - Badger was one of the ideas of what type of char would make sense here, and with their ties to the Crab, being a cousin to the ruling family could make sense. I also generally like the Minor Clans, and I'd only played Badger once a long time ago - and it was a "courtly Badger", in a way. I wanted to go for something different and play a "strong, not very smart, but good-natured" type, which is something I hadn't ever done in l5r. After thinking about how to represent that, I went with 'Consumed by strength', decided to go with a heavy weapon - particularly the Ono which is usually a kinda stupid choice... And stupid choice sounded just right for him.

As for the Highlander part - after having a sheet and background, I was thinking about how to step into him, and thought an accent might be a nice way to represent him coming from what is pretty much a backwater area. As the Badger are originally from the far north, scots/ Scottish sounded like a fun and appropriate way to represent that.

Hopefully the choice (and my representation of it) wasn't disrespectful to anyone! It's been fun, on my side :)

Oh, I should be sorry. As usually ends up happening, I wasn't very active for a large part of the game, and since I often avoid getting too involved in threads with lots of people, I ended up letting parts of the main story slide by without much notice.

Yuuwaku seemed like really fun, but I noticed I couldn't find much of a way to get Taiki to contact most of the Crane delegation. In a way I guess it makes sense - someone like him would probably be a bit hesitant to talk to such cultured, proper people as the Crane.

Of course I now that's not the case, and meeting Masao for hunting was something that probably changed his view quite a bit. The others too when he met them, but he still felt a bit overwhelmed.

As for bringing him back - I guess I would, depending on what the game is about! He's very much a soldier, but if he keeps with the Badger instead of marrying into a GC (I ended up not pursuing that possibility during the game) they are more or less mercenaries, so there are some possibilities there. He probably won't be around for more courtly or high-end games though.

Thanks for the questions :)

Might be a possibility, but I think he'd be quite shitty ASA Yojimbo  He's not very good with a sword at all, at least for now,and he's....kinda blunt?

But it might be possible! Would have to learn a few tricks though

There's a courtly Badger that hangs out around my place these days, eats all the potato chips and defends against invasion.

Always welcome more Badgers. And tiny Ichiro says hi.

I second that! Hoping I can actually be around more and do more on my next games. Hunting together would/ will be great! I had hoped for more hunting scenes, but ended up having little time for that - it was fun to tag along with Fuboshi though.

Also - Taiki will be very honoured to be Tora's second. He'll have to train himself in how to train an Animal though... but he'll have great fun at that :)

Hoping to see Hana again btw! She was fun!
