Yoko, the Samurai Drama

Yoko is, and will forever be, one of my favorite characters.
She had a nice character-makeup going into the game that I felt could have sent her in any number of directions. Where she wound up is super cool.
Questions, comments, feedback, are all welcome.
Thank you to all who played parts in her story big or small.

Who's her mother?

She's got two:
Bayushi governess of Ryoko Owari who was her birth mother. (This one's a secret, one she keeps as best she can.)
Former Kakita duelist turned ronin who "adopted"/raised her. This was the woman she honored with everything she considered good about herself.
Yoko differentiated when she said "Mother" meaning birth mother, and "Mom" for the woman who raised her, who is more an actual mother than the other. I might have messed up once or twice, but I was pretty good about maintaining that distinction.

Is Yoko coming back--assuming there is something to which to come back?

I'd point to the first two lines in my initial post as the best answer. Otherwise, hard to comment where we're at now.

A slightly complex one - how did Yoko's development turn out in comparison to what you expected of her? What was different and what was similar to your initial plans with her?

My proper answer would be that I didn't hold too many expectations going in. I had a strong sense of her character, and was committed to seeing what she would do with her time. How she might develop as in relation to the events of the game. Finally, also how her unique character traits would cause her to interact with the situation and world.
I suppose I might also offer that I did not expect her to have nearly as much opportunity that she got. Leaving the game following the Empress to be certainly wasn't something I prepared for.
A major shift that lead toward that was with a conversation with Hifumi and Shouji, where she began to see that maybe she could do something more than just the small, here-and-there/in-the-moment style good deeds she was content in aiming to make of her life before.

Random extra nugget:
This very much became the song I listened to when I needed to vibe with Yoko:

Very much became the one most associated with her story/development.

Hm! Hm! This suddenly answers a lot! I suppose that basically answers the questions I had for her!
It was good to have a ronin buddy and do ronin things together! Thank you for the scenes.

Thank you! For the same reason! Even better that not only was it nice to have a ronin buddy, but that they complemented each others characters in good ways too!

The mantis never did get to collect them all.
