Wedding at Fire Shrimp Village an L5R PbP

It had been a wild few days and Daichi had popped by the ship a few times in the past week sometimes to chat with his intended sometimes just to observe people on the ship see how they lived.

Now the wedding was over and Xung-ji would likely be heading out and he wouldn't see her again until they were married. So Daichi stopped by again one last time coming onto the ship and looking for the exotic beauty that was his future wife.

Her crew was finishing the last touches before she headed back to the isles, not really involving herself with the political affairs of the Empress. Much of the crew were dragging feet from the previous night but she gave them no slack as she wanted to be on the seas sooner than later.

“Daichi-kun, come to see me off?” she asked casually.

He smiled faintly at Xung-ji as he draws closer to her "Of course Xung-chan. You didn't think I'd let you out of here without getting to see you one last time did you?" His faint smile grew into a grin as he spoke.

"Whats next for you out there? What will you do until the wedding?"

"I have to return to the Isles to offload goods, refresh the crew then probably head North for more work," she responded.

"Take what is ours."

Daichi chuckled at her response "Not sure why I expected anything else from you. Single minded focus you have there Xung-chan. Try not to have too many crazy adventures before I join you. I expect us to do things they'll write tales about for years." He smiled as his mismatched eyes met her own.

"They will sing many songs of our conquests," she agreed looking out at the sea.

"We'll get your sea legs yet, within a year you'll be a regular seaman and won't even miss the land. Might even make you my first mate, we'll see."

Daichi chuckled "I'm sure I can figure it out fast enough, no offense to your current first mate but I tend to get what I want if I put my mind to it." He grinned confidently

"Keep that hunger, you'll need it. Any last questions or decisions you need to make before I sail off into the sunset?" she asked.

Daichi thought for a moment "I suppose nothing that needs be addressed now. Just don't go getting yourself killed before the wedding, I doubt I'll find a match as good as you again." He said smiling at her.

"I should say the same for you, mister bad boy, if you die I'll go the afterlife to kick your ass for wasting my time," she responded.

She winked and then started barking orders to her crew. Once finished she added, "And you're right, you won't find a match as good as me."

He laughed at that one "Haven't died yet, doubt anything dangerous enough to change that will pop up in the mean time." He said grinning confidently. "No I suspect ill spend our time apart becoming even stronger so that I can serve my new clan well and show you how good of a choice you made."

"Good, because I always choose well," she replied.
