[Moshi Minari]

That had been a freaky night, but everyone onboard was accounted for and whole. For now. Going back to sleep right now was out of the question, and Minari made her rounds checking the injuries of everyone who had been rescued. As well as those doing the rescuing.

"Blasted spooky shit..." she grunted as she lit her pipe to calm her nerves. Stories of haunted beaches was one thing (who didn't have local stories like that), but this was something else entirely.

Returning from below Yoko wanted to get out, away from the confines of the ship and somewhere she might be able to get some air. Finding her way over by Minari she leaned up against something, her blanket wrapped tightly around her as she tried to make sure she warm after taking her dive into the water. She went to say something, but winced a little when she found a tight pain in her chest. Ignorable but annoyingly present all the same.

Minari took a long drag from the pipe and let the smoke waft into the late night sky, then noticed the arrival of the ronin.

"Good you're alive. That was some crazy stunts you tried to pull earlier, Yoko-san. How you feelin'?"

Minari has a sudden vision of throwing herself from the cliff where the Fertility Mound shrine is...

She hears her voice say, "I do this for you, Hitomi."

It gives her that weird dream feeling of falling...

"Like an ass," she said, started to laugh until she coughed a little. Bringing a hand up to her chest she hit it a little, feeling like it relieved the feeling. "Threw myself off a dock for near about nothing, but- well, I tried," she shook her head, "nearly drowned myself for the effort. Chest still hurts a bit from after I lost my breath a bit when I was down there."

Notably, looking out from the boat as they spoke.

Minari shook her head, clearing away the strange vision.

She'd have to check out the mound in the daylight hours.

"Come over here," she gestured for Yoko to approach. "Let me take a look at you. Deal was we look after you, after all."

Glancing over, Yoko nodded with the gesture. Making her way over and holding the blanket nice and secure over her shouldered. "We do.. not sure how much I've helped with it all, but-" she shook her head, smiled, "nah, I'm not gonna start putting up excuses. What do you think doc, need the closer look or-" she opened the blanket a little so it was half-open.

"You tried to help, which is more important than doing nothin'." She however frowned seeing the state Yoko was in. It wasn't life-threatening, of course, but she was displeased that Yoko hadn't been more forthcoming about her state.

"Sit down." Minari directed her firmly as one hand busied itself with taking out one of her prayer scrolls. "You shouldn't be shy, you know." It was hard to tell if she meant the blanket covering Yoko, or something else.

"No idea what tomorrow is going to look like, but, probably best that you're on top of things. I trust you don't mind that I touch you to heal your injuries?

"I'm the furthest thing from shy, Moshi-sama," she said, laughing a little and coughing a bit with it. Chiding herself a little inwardly. "Yea- after tonight, whatever that was.. certainly not sleeping after everything, eh? Feel free though-" she opened the blanket up a bit more and started holding it around her waist she shivered a little as her clothing was soaked through and dried out as it was after her dive.

Whatever problems there were, they were certainly internal after the dive, but as Minari lay her hands on her with the aid of the kami there was a noticeable slouch in Yoko's shoulders that disappeared. "Feel a little warmer.. think that's good," she said, laughing a bit without much coughing.

There was a certain warmth in her touch as the power of the kami answered her prayer and coursed through her and into Yoko. It was a similar sensation to relaxing into a warm bath, easing the pain and soreness.

"Yes, that is good," she chuckled dryly, patting Yoko as the ritual was completed. "I don't think many of us are going to sleep any time soon. Weird shit's happening, got us all on edge."

[Yoko]

"Yea-" she took a moment of thought, sighing deeply. "Already thought shit was getting real weird- real fast but.. well, guess the world just wanted to show me it could go a few extra steps, eh? So, what do you think?" she gestures vaguely toward the beach, the village, off the boat. "How do you wrap your head around it all?"

"Oh-" she glances up, back with the touch of a smirk. "Thanks, by the way. Can't have myself going and forgetting to say that, eh? Not.. well, not the usual way I get a chance to get treated, eh?"
