Day 3, LE (The Sea Fox) - Ship Ship Ship (expecting)

[Kitsuki Naida]

A woman in green and gold showed up at the gangplank for the Sea Fox. She was no Mantis though, the mon on the back of her kimono proclaiming her as a Dragon. She carried a bag slung over her back and asked to see Tsuruchi Shouji before being let aboard. The evening was cloudy and bit misty, but the woman didn't seem to mind one bit.

[Hitomi]

At the top of the gangplank is a girl with her back towards the samurai.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Oh, hello there."

Naida hadn't expected to see a child on the Mantis ship. It didn't seem like the sort of duty one brought their family on, unless the seas were less dangerous than rumors told.

"Do you know where the captain is, little one?"

[Hitomi]

"Are you my mommy?" she asked her back still turned. It sounds like a whisper in her ear.

[Kitsuki Naida]

Blink, blink.. squint.

"Hm? Are you lost then? Did you lose your mother?"

Naida walked closer; It was dark and the lamps at the docks seemed dim from here, so it did make the sound of the voice have an eerie atmosphere, but there was a good chance that had been her imagination.

She is about to step forward but the gang plank is missing.

The girl giggles and said, with her back turned, "Help me, mommy."

[Kitsuki Naida]

Okay, surely there was a a ramp there a second ago. I'm not that blind yet.

Naida really was getting the impression the girl was some sort of spirit. But why here? Why now?

"I can't help you if I can't get up to you dear. Mommy didn't bring a rope or ladder or anything."

[Dapper Dog]

A Mantis replied from where the girl had been standing, "Sorry Dragon-san?"

"I don't think I'm your mother, back up while I get the gangplank ready. I could have sworn I put it out earlier."

[Kitsuki Naida]

*blink, blink*

"I see. It seems to be one of those evenings, really."

She backed up, making a mental note to ask the Tsuruchi if the ship was haunted.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Hearing one of his men mention a Dragon, Shouji make his way towards the dock. He frowned when he noticed that the gangplank wasn't in place. Hadn't he walked up that not too long ago?

He shook such thoughts from his head though as he spotted the Dragon. "Ah, Kitsuki-san! Why don't you come aboard?" He asked as the gangplank was secured.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Yes, that would be nice..."

Her answer seemed slightly distracted as she looked back at where the spirit had been before turning back to the Tsuruchi, "It has been an eventful evening, and I didn't really get a chance to talk to you much at the party. Hopefully you have some time for some plum wine and games?"

She held up a small bottle and a little bag that rattled slightly.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Certainly. " he offered the woman a warm smile. "It's been an eventful day and a chance to unwind would be appreciated." Maybe he could push the thoughts of dead sailors and ghosts away for a time.

[Kitsuki Naida]

Giving a small nod she looked back at him with a smile before motioning for him to lead the way. If the man's room was haunted too she was just done with caring; She would drink regardless. If she had to be a yokai's mom and deal with a haunted bath, then she needed SOMETHING.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

They'd get there in time, though he did offer her a brief tour of the deck first. Not that there was much to see at this hour. "I hope you didn't expect palatial decorations." He offered as they entered his room.

"Ships aren't the best place for fancy." Which is what the room reflected, lit by a pair of lanterns, it had a futon rolled against one wall as well as a small table, a few chests and various cabinets. The interior was all wood, though some had been softened with a tapestry or a rug. Overall it felt comfortable, but not particularly wealthy.

[Kitsuki Naida]

That got a small chuckle and smile out of the Dragon, "No, this is about what I was expecting. And I certainly don't mind cozy, which is how I would describe this with the lantern light and the wood scented of brine."

She took a seat at the small table, on the rug, sitting down cross legged and setting her stuff on the table.

"So long as you don't expect the most expensive chilled wine to talk over, neh?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Cozy is the way I like it." It was a little place where he could get away if need be. "As for the wine, well I may have a bottle of that somewhere." He offered the woman a teasing smile.

"But I'm much more interested in what you brought " He continued as he took a seat across from her.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Exactly. All I need are two cups then."

She held up two fingers, even as she emptied the other bag onto the table, which ended up having dice and a cup in it, the cup obviously having been taking up most of the room.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

The Captain shifted to his knees reaching into a nearby cabinet to produce a pair of cups. Handing them to the dragon so she could pour.

"Dice then?" He asked eyebrow raised curiously. I take it we're going to be wagering something? Or is this a game i might not know?"

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Unlikely you don't know it. And I hadn't decided on the wagering though. I was thinking about about Cho-Han Bakuchi, but truth or dare rather than anything else. I suppose it depends on your mood though. We could just drink and talk if you'd like."

She imagined the work of putting the party together and such might have left the Tsuruchi a bit tired.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I like the game to go along with the talking and drinking." He reached over to take the cup and set of dice. "It will give me a chance to unwind, I really couldn't get much drinking down earlier."

"I suppose since you're pouring drinks, i'll roll?" He asked a moment later, a slight smile on his lips. "We switch off on the wager of choosing truth or dare, and if you win the roll, I lose the wager?" The captain placed the dice in the cup. "Unless you wanted to switch off on the rolling."

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Let's switch off and have the other person guess odds or evens. If they get it right, they get to choose whether to tell a truth or take a drink. Of they guess wrong, the person rolling gets to give a truth or dare. And I'm fine with you rolling first."

She pours two cups.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Sounds good to me then." He set aside the dice and cup for a moment and pulling in his arms slipped out of the top of his kimono. This was Chō-Han Bakuchi after all, it was tradition for the roller to be shirrtless. Rolling his shoulders he reached for his cup of wine and took a sip before setting it to his side.

"Even or odds then?" He asked as he picked up the dice and cup and gave them a shake.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Han."

Naida pushed the Tsuruchi's cup across the table before staring at the dice cup intently, her elbows going on to the table and her hands lacing fingers in front of her face.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

The cup was given a vigorous shake before it was slamemd on the table.

A smirk was on the captains lips as he lifted the cup up to reavel the dice within.

"Cho." He offered with a touch of amusemtn.
