Rude Awakening (Day 2 MM The Sea Fox)

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Shouji sighed as he made his way back onto deck, he hadn't been expecting to be awoken by a bunch of Kuni and tested, and he had to admit he was a bit frustrated. Moving to one of the water barrels he slipped out of the top of his miono and reaching towards a nearby pale scooped out som eof the water and used it to wash his face and chest, wetting his hair while he was at is.

At sea it would be a wastre, but this close to short replinishing their suppleis of water would be no problem, and truth be told he was a bit hungover. picking up a nearby ladel, he scooped a bit more water from the barrel and drank. He had a long day ahead and a water and some salted fish would help him face it.

[Moshi Meiko]

A very sleepy looking Meiko pads up onto the deck brushing some dirt from her eyes while wearing her battered mantis green night gown.
"Do they....do they do that often here?"

"And do they have to poke so hard? I think my leg will bruise."

"Kuni are grumpy by nature, comes from having to deal with Hida all day that just won't stand still." He glanced at the Moshi and herageing sleeping attire, she liked needed to get a new one before that one started to fall apart.

"That's why they poke so hard. As for often? I certainly hope not." He grumbled, obviously not pleased by being woken either.

[Moshi Meiko]

"Kuni are grumpy by nature, comes from having to deal with Hida all day that just won't stand still." He glanced at the Moshi and herageing sleeping attire, she liked needed to get a new one before that one started to fall apart.

"That's why they poke so hard. As for often? I certainly hope not." He grumbled, obviously not pleased by being woken either.

"Maybe I'd be grumpy if I had to deal with Hida all day too...but they seem nice enough, just large."
The Moshi steps groggily over to the barrel and regards it for a few moments sleepily before dunking her whole head into the water and then pulling it out
"No.....Still sleepy."

He glanced towards the water barrel, people were supposed to drink from that....

"Sure they are, but you haven't tried to heal them up yet. Couldn't you imagine having to thump one over the head as he tried to wander back to battle with his arm half detached, as you tired to heal one?"

He did crack a smile as she admitted she was still sleepy. "Seems all you accomplished was making it so your night gown clung to you suggestively."

[Moshi Meiko]

He glanced towards the water barrel, people were supposed to drink from that....

"Sure they are, but you haven't tried to heal them up yet. Couldn't you imagine having to thump one over the head as he tried to wander back to battle with his arm half detached, as you tired to heal one?"

Looking down
"Silly night gown....it shouldn't be suggesting anything, it's a night gown."

"Clothing suggests all kinds of things, even more then no clothing at all!" It was shocking really. Clothing should keep it's mouth shut far more often.

"Usually yours is saying. 'I'm old and comfy, but maybe you should get a new one before i'm see through.' It's pretty loud about it honestly." He replied his tone teasing."

"Clothing suggests all kinds of things, even more then no clothing at all!" It was shocking really. Clothing should keep it's mouth shut far more often.

"I mean... You could always try repairing him." He hadn't been aware nightgowns had genders. Now he knew though, and this one was male? How Lewd.

"Maybe aim for some sort of checkered theme?" It could work, right?

Meiko cocks her head to one side, peering down at the gown
"Oh....that's a fantastic idea captain-sama! I didn't know you were so knowledgable about fashion. I'll find some orange cloth and sew that in, it will be quite striking I think."

"Orange could be good." He mused after a moment. "Remind you a bit of home, right?" If he recalled orange had been one of the centipedes colors.

"Might clash a bit with the green, but it's not like that really matters in a night gown."

[Moshi Meiko]

"Still I'm suprised it's the food you said you missed the most, and not a futon or room of your own."

"Honestly I'm a bit surprised you didn't try and stay at the inn."

[Moshi Meiko]

Meiko looks pained
"I said I wanted to earn the futon, and I meant it! I want someone else's futon...with their permission! Sometimes you just have to deny yourself things on principle. One day I'll have a room and a futon and everything, captain-sama, just you wait!"

"Someone else's futon with permission?" He raised an eyebrow at that. "I believe that's a few steps past holding hands Meiko." He added his tone a little teasing. "Still I believe in you."

"You're a hard worker, and cute to boot. You'll get there soon enough1"

Wouldn't that make sleeping harder? What if you rolled over at night. Still...captain-sama had complimented her

"Well, it's not like they are just not going to sleep in their futon too, abd Futon's aren't huge either so you'd likely end up holding each other." His smile turned mischevious and he added in Thranish. "Maybe after a bit of plowing."

Her excitement brought a grin to his lips, and he reached out a hand to pat her on the head. He probably shouldn't do that, but he couldn't help himself. "A few people here had told me I should try my hand at doing a bit of that. We'll see how it goes."

"Well, it's not like they are just not going to sleep in their futon too, abd Futon's aren't huge either so you'd likely end up holding each other." His smile turned mischevious and he added in Thranish. "Maybe after a bit of plowing."

Gasp! Meiko looks ready to argue about the plowing but she's clearly just too pleased by the pat and the prospect of the captain being happy.
"Really? They have? Oh I hope you find someone special and kind and sweet to hold hands with. You deserve it captain-sama, you're always supporting us, someone should support you! In a futon!"

"But please don't plow Hiruma Sen-san, they're so sweet and nice and I think it would make things complicated and they probably wouldn't want to anyway."

"I'm not particularly interested in Hiruma-san in that way, Meiko." Shouji replied with a soft smile. "I'm not a trap enthusiast after all."

Her problems solved and her sleepiness slowly retreating, Meiko starts her usual vibrations.
"Have you met anyone interesting yet, captain-sama? I want to meet someone from each great clan before we leave!"

[Moshi Minari]

The navigator had eventually risen from sleep and gone through her morning routine as she saw the inquisition on the docks. Scowling, she crossed her arms as she looked down at them from her higher vantage point on the ship.

"What bullshit is this?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"A few." He offered after a moment. "A couple of Dragons and a Crane as well as a few others." Like the Hiruma that had come looking for Meiko. "No where near someone from every clan here."

Minari got a nod as she came up on deck. "Kuni, they're wanting to poke us with jade to make sure we aren't sea monsters or something. Best to go down and get it out of the way before the try and come on board."

[Yoko]

Normally getting up at this time anyway, Yoko had shuffled off toward the Kuni about the same time as Shouji and Meiko. Which likely only spoke for the simple fact of who she was on why it took her till now to get back. Glancing about the ship, toward everyone around, giving a little nod and a shrug as if it spoke everything that needed being said.
