Sweet Yam Village is near the border of the Crab and the Sparrow, and due to the traffic it used to have an inn but there was an unfortunate fire some years back started by weasels that ended the inn’s run. Most travelers find shelter with the locals or rely on their tents. Great Clan samurai tend to rely on their tents as they find the closeness of the heimin to the samurai in this village a bit… unsettling.
The village has such highlights as the Old Meeting Tree where folks go to meet and chat and Big Hill where young couples go to do what couples do best. On the outskirts of town towards the Crab lands is the guard tower, usually manned by a couple of Sparrow bushi.
