[Kitsuki Naida]

A brief smile then Naida turns and walks toward the changing room, "See you in a few minutes then; I shan't be long."

With that she disappeared into the doorway.

[Otomo Saisei]

Alone for a moment of silence as Naida departs from the room, the Otomo glances toward the pool for some moments. Weariness strikes him, and he takes a dry towel to rapidly prepared himself for tea.

[Kitsuki Naida]

After bit of time, the Kitsuki woman appears where Saisei had said to meet, wearing a festive green yukata and a cute peaked hat, "Thank you for waiting; I hope I did not keep you long?"

[Otomo Saisei]

He shakes his head negatively, and sits in seiza to get their cups served. He wears his traditional dark hakama with a well fit brownish kimono. "No need to thank me for that, Kitsuki-san. I am indebted, and it is both a pleasure and an honor to share something with you."

The Otomo takes another glance to the door that takes to the pool, and finally sighs, relaxing a bit before sipping.

[Kitsuki Naida]

Naida follows his gaze before turning back and taking a seat, "Put it out of your mind for now, Otomo-sama. What is dine is done, and we will simply need to inform the right people about it. For now, the tea smells wonderful. Do you know much about tea varieties?"

[Otomo Saisei]

"Just the traditional. But I do enjoy learning, and experimenting other varieties." He inhales the aroma, and focuses his eyes on Naida for a bit longer, as she suggested.

"Nice hat."

[Kitsuki Naida]

A brighter smile this time, Naida picked the tea cup up in long agile fingers, "Thank you; I made the hat myself, actually. This is my festival hat. I rarely get the chance to wear it, and I thought I'd do so to the party the Mantis are holding later. So I brought it with me."

[Otomo Saisei]

"It is a lovely match to the whole composition, I have to say I am impressed." He sips again, while his eyes take their time to appreciate. "Many of my family do wear hats according to their function. It get rather funny sometimes."

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Perhaps. There's nothing silly about hats though; Every one has a tradition and purpose. Even if sometimes they can look a bit novel, I suppose. I'm not shy about making a statement with my headwear, certainly."

[Otomo Saisei]

He smiles, saying, "Indeed. Based on my... well... shallow point of view, many hats do inspire authority, others elegance. Some, though, are made exactly fo crack a smile out of someone's face and make the conversation easier. Am I wrong?"

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Sometimes those are the best kind. One thing I will say though, on the subject of silly hats; I think the best way to describe that is simply a hat misplaced. Like one worn for authority when it should be worn for comedic effect, obviously."

[Otomo Saisei]

"I wonder if I would get a hat, someday." He rubs his chin, reminding himself that Yusuke himself doesn't wear one as a nakodo.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"If you like, I could make you one, Otomo-sama. I've never made hats for anyone besides myself yet, but I'm sure it can't be too much more complex than making them for my own use."

[Otomo Saisei]

He shakes his head, and then smiles gratefully, "I appreciate your disposition, Kitsuki-san, but I wouldn't want you to bother with that. I am sure your duties require you to focus on more important matters."

[Kitsuki Naida]

"Occassionally. Still, if you had a commission, I would find time. Just don't expect me to rush it, neh? Hat making is an art to me, not just some craft of putting something between your head and the sky."

[Otomo Saisei]

"I would not be able to commission Kitsuki-san's time for her art in something personal. Forgive me. I appreciate the offer, but must refuse." He bows apologetically.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"I understand. Perhaps another time, if we meet again, and we get to know one another better. These things must mean something, after all. I did not mean to make you feel pressured in that respect. If indeed you did."

[Otomo Saisei]

He shakes his head again, opening the previous appreciative smile, "I do not. At all. In fact, I would indeed like to commission a hat, but as a gift to someone else. In being so, it would be a secret between us. If Kitsuki-san would so accept, of course."

[Kitsuki Naida]

That gets a grin, "That is even better. A secrets? I am very good at keeping those, trust me."

[Otomo Saisei]

"I am pleased." He grins, and slides to his bundle of things, getting parchment and charcoal. He then offers it to Naida with both hands, "Please, do find out time to write that what you'll need and I'll make sure you get these resources. The person to be gifted is someone of status. This person moves with the winds. I'll let you figure out the colors and the format, but do please include gold and green. Yours and mine, for signature."

[Kitsuki Naida]

Taking the parchement, Naida gives a nod, thinking and looking down at it.

"Hm... well... two things come to mind immediately. One is a simple portable hat with green ribbon and a gold rim. The other idea would be a layered green lacquered hat with gold thread and flowers. That would be heavier and more delicate but much more dramatic. I suppose it depends on whether you want cute or impressive."

[Otomo Saisei]

He taps his chin again, grinning deviously. "It has to something impressive, I believe. Although cute would be... rather interesting."

The Otomo chuckles at the thought.

[Kitsuki Naida]

"It just depends. In this case, how much you want to see it worn, or how quickly you want it. The cute one could be quality work in a day. The impressive one would take a bit, though I could have it ready by the end of the festivities."

[Otomo Saisei]

"I have been lectured by a Crane once, that a famous sculptor used a bamboo structure to make droplets of water to fall over the rock he wanted to shape into a statue. It took a lifetime to complete. The day after the form arrived to the shape he wanted, he passed away to Yomi, happy to have completed it."

Saisei takes a deep breath to reassure her, "Take the time Kitsuki-san thinks is necessary."

[Kitsuki Naida]

A dip of her head, "So the fancy one. I see. Let me think of the materials then."

She tapped the parchment with one finger as she thought on it.
