Text is "Any time you are using Games: Sadane to criticize someone else’s art or performance, you gain a Free Raise on your skill roll." Checking to see if I can make the situation such that it would apply for the event. If not, no worries, but I figured I'd ask.

In regards to the Hole in One thread, is there any advantage to using the Ikoma Bard rank 1 technique to talk up the groom? It could be either as an addition, a supplement to the other possible Perform: Storytelling roll, or as a replacement? (potentially)

It just seemed rather close to what the thread was asking for.

Here is the text on the ability:

You may use the Perform: Storytelling skill to engage in public bragging on behalf of another person. If you can cite heroic or noble actions by that person and successfully roll Perform: Storytelling / Awareness at TN 20, that person will gain a number of points of Glory equal to your School Rank. This may be done a number of times per person per month equal to your School Rank.

OOC: Visiting the eta outside one's duties to the Crab costs one .2 Honor for associating with such unclean people.

As a magistrate at the wedding, would it be within the periphery of my duties to do some question-asking in the area about rumours, attached yoriki, etc. or no?

Question about the Badger history in this timeline just for the sake of RP. How bad is the current situation for them? In the Canon they have been almost fully destroyed by an Oni attack in 1126, and have been striving to rebuild, recover, keep their independence and their School alive, using Dojo elsewhere in the Empire and spread across the Empire working as mercenaries, caravan guards and the like, then later turned to the Crab for aid (in 1166) when Toturi III was on the throne.

I assumed there was at least an attack and that they were striving economically and maybe to rebuild, but also that there was 'something' remaining in their homelands. Does that check out? What should I assume as the current situation?

EDIT: It was also later revealed that the Badger lands were protecting the tomb of Ryoshun, but that was rather late in the timeline. I suppose that hasn't been ever mentioned in this timeline, right?
