[Asahina Sanaharu]

"I like having you around, Yuu-chan. Sorry I have troubled you such. Your company is enough."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"You have not troubled me, Sana-kun," Yuuwaku replies. "I have a lot to give."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He nods. "Yuuwakuu-chan, may I change the subject?"

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"Yes.

"What would you speak of?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"I am seeking for a bride to Masao-dono. Have you met anyone worthy here of a potential heir to Cold Wind City?"

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku blinks twice in surprise.

That's quite the shift, she thinks, but then she says "I'd not been looking at people in such a way, so I cannot say in specifics. But I can say this, as someone who has been taught, among others, what it means to be a good spouse--and I mean no disrespect to those involved, though it may sound...off.

"Where Kakita-nikutai is weak--and all men are weak in some ways--his wife must be strong, the more so if he will rule. So, where is Kakita-nikutai weak?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Masao-dono is a man unsure. He knows not which way to choose, and not even if he will want to choose or not. Whilst I doubt myself, he doubts his future. I consider this his greatest weakness. He knows not to seek objectives or the path to them. This unsureness allows him to make decisions based on vanity and feelings, although not the usual feeling-based decisions on the spot."

He takes a cup of tea.

"Someone with a great eye for opportunity would be his best match. But his brother is on deathbed, and his father plans to retire. I seek a match not perfect, not necessarily great, but one good."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"Or someone who helps him be certain of himself," Yuuwaku opines.

"I will see about keeping an eye out for such a person. She would make him a good wife even if he does not ascend."

She pauses, considering.

"These are dangerous ways of thinking, you know."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Opinions are as dangerous as one shares them, Yuuwaku-chan, and you are my closest confidant. I told him this once when he sought advice. that he seemed lost, and he did not call me on it when he had all rights to do so should he feel offended."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"Not why there's danger, Sana-kun," Yuuwaku replies. "I worry that we meddle in affairs above our station."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"It is not a necessity to find him a wife here, Yuuwaku-chan. I wanted merely to do it as a favor for a friend, and would much rather not recommend anyone at all than someone that does not fit him well. I think the first is what going to happen. Mostly, so far, I have taken outside his head bad findings."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku nods.

"A delay might work well, then, though I will still look."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"Please, Yuuwaku-chan, only do so if that is your wish. I personally have almost given up on this task myself."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"Oh? Why do so?" She looks at him curiously. "Why take it on to start, if to set it aside so?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"The task was self-assigned. I offered my help, to keep my eyes open should anyone of value cross by. When I did, I thought this court would be... More on the patterns of Doji-no-kami." He looks depressed to the ill-tasted paintings on the walls. "I have kept them open for all those days, yet none seems even close to what I seek."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

Yuuwaku chuckles.

"There's the issue, it seems. Think on it; how much are you like your siblings?"

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"My only sibling even available... Well, I do have two... for marriage is a bushi, Yuu-chan."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"And if you are unlike them, how much more the Kami, being more than we, were unlike their siblings? And then how much more must we who follow be different.

"Use your artist's eyes, Sana-kun. Look at what is, not what you expect."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He smiles in wonder, shining through his eyes. When his perspective was changed to a way he agreed so radically, yet to effectively, he was as much as a child taught something beautiful to know. "This is true. Yet, it needs to be what Lord Haruka, his father, would expect."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"As to that, Sana-kun, you would know better than I."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"I would have to talk first on it before trying to find someone outside the Crane patterns. How open to the idea he would be. For now, the search for someone in the expected Crane standards continue."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"To be fair, Sana-kun," Yuuwaku notes, "the greatness of Crane women takes many forms."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

"I had only met so far bushi, Yuuwaku-chan. And Daidoji Kaneko-sama."

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

He excepts me, Yuuwaku thinks, which is likely for the best.

"Give it an open eye and time, dear," she says. "Something will emerge."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

He nods. "Hopefully it will. My best guess is that, in the end, his father will just call over a nakodo. Specially if Saitora-ue meets the worst end."
