"Oh, I do remember. He came for us right after, didn't he?" He takes a cup of tea. "The person you first walk to in a gathering, not for duty, is the one that you are acquantained with the best. I confess I have not spent too much time with Masao-ue on his father's court, he was a soldier and often did not attend to it. Are you two good friends?"

"I don't know Kakita sama's father... but Kakita sama is a good friend." A light blush is hidden behind the cup.

"My poetry?" She blinked a few times but she gave it a try.
"Flowers bloom in spring
The flight of returning birds awe
life continues at dawn."

Probably not the best poem but a poem nonetheless. "Are you testing me, Asahina sama?"

"Oh, this is a good one. I was not, I was merely offering my help. I believe, though, you need it not." He replies with a slight smile. "May we move to the curse subject?"
