Sanaharu took it the only way he could, because the other meaning could not even cross his Crane head. Well, that was a rather direct request, but Crabs were that way.
"Well, it is indeed alone, but it also needs somewhere to sing and a pretty cage first. It would be much easier to join the Nightingale where he lives, indeed."

“Your place… that works for me, big bird, you can make these cheeks clap any time you want,” she said with a deep drink o shoju.

“You work it right and you might just hear me sing, and I have the voice of an angel.”

Another Crab interjected, “If an angel is a dying mangy cat then yes she has the voice of an angel.”

“Piss off, Little Kiwa-chan,” Biyo countered waggling her pinky.

[Yoko]

"Oh, just like the inn, then. Yeah," she said with a few nods, finally understanding at their arrangements.

"I wouldn't say that I'm that skilled..." she admittedly with a sigh, and rambled off a few animals, "I can catch rabbits, voles, rats, squirrels and the like. Foxes and dholes, sometimes. I hunted a deer once."

It was quite a few things but at least that set the bar in case they had wild imaginations. Boar, bears and wolves were a whole another matter. She would have to be desperate or the money had to be really good for really big game.

"Hardly anyway to sell yourself, eh? Gotta build yourself up, boast a little!" she laughed a bit, shifting around so that she could lean her back against the bar instead. Glancing about at the gathered samurai as she followed the thought, "But no, yea.. I guess it makes sense to match expectations. Still, thought was that they might want to have a little fun and you know-" she gave a little slashing motion with her hands, pantomiming a blade. "For that you only really need to.. well, guide them and all yea?" she said, glancing over with a quirked brow.

[Bayushi Shitoru]

Hifumi made her offering of coin and joined the festivities. She wasn't interested in participating in the various competitions that sprung up between attendees throughout the evening, but she was certainly willing to watch everything.

Shitoru approached the Monkey after his roasting and bowed.

"Good eve, Fuzake-san, I see efforts to enjoy yourself are scarce", he offered her a drink. "Might this one be of aid?"

[Togashi Keigo]

She chuckles lightly, covering her mouth with a raised fan. "Togashi-san flatters. But I don't think he has any reason to be worried about his words here. Something suggests that, had they been out of line, the matter would've been addressed already."

And you're not unpleasant to see, yourself, she thinks.

"It's still a bit early for me to have done much here, although I am hoping to explore while I am here, as duties allow, of course."

She looks to his hands. "Would you care to share a drink?"

"Kakita-sama, I wouldn't know how to flatter if you asked me to. Everything I said was simply true," he replied. "I suppose you're right. The Crab don't seem overly concerned with niceties."

"I've admittedly explored more around the village than in it. As to the drink..." he paused, then shrugged and nodded. "I suppose a little more won't hurt more than it already has."

[Otomo Saisei]

Himeko smiled. Ah, the inexperienced youth...

"Ah, truly? Well, allow me to be the first to welcome you and caution you about what to expect! But first, how about a toast Otomo-sama?" She motioned one of the servers down, getting them to refill the boys glass as well as top up her own "would you join me in one?"

Knowing all too well about the dangers of allowing a Scorpion to fill his cup up to the near edge of spilling, the Imperial wisdom he has been passed down since the days of the coup simply disappear from his memories. The only thing that crosses his mind is that he can’t back down such the sudden... invitational challenge. After all, the a place is filled with Hida.

He nods as she serves him and grins, saying, as decorum demands, “I cannot accept the generosity of an impromptu lesson. I would not want to importune. Yet, I would greatly enjoy cheering up with Shosuro-hime-san. To what we should be thankful?”

[Kakita Yuuwaku]

"Kakita-sama, I wouldn't know how to flatter if you asked me to. Everything I said was simply true," he replied. "I suppose you're right. The Crab don't seem overly concerned with niceties."

A hint of color creeps up Yuuwaku's neck. Nice to look at and so nice! Quite a figure.

She gestures to a small nook, currently vacant. "I'd certainly like to hear about what all you've found so far."

She also gestures for more to drink, just to be sure.

"No..." she said with a hint of embarrassment. "Just not looking to make trouble for over promising and under delivering. I can do more if it's just me and they're looking to just hunt for fun. I haven't had a chance to check out the wilderness just yet."

She nodded, "Maybe if I can talk to them...I did run into one Mantis on my way in."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

He takes a good sip and holds up some of the sour facial expression.

With a following hearty chuckle, he adds up, “I am not worthy of the company of one so fair as Shosuro-hime-san. I thank you for caring to teach me, but it wouldn’t be proper.”

With a toasting motion among all the rowdiness the Scorpion managed some propriety. "Kampai." He drank. "Then what is it you have enjoyed watching most since festivities have begun?" he asked in a friendly tone.

"That... may be the wiser choice," he agreed with a self-effacing laugh. "Everyone was drinking to the groom, it seemed like the thing to do." He stepped over to the alcove, gesturing that she should have a seat first.

"I've been around the area near the beach, mostly. The shrine has an extraordinary view from the cliff, even if the decor leading up to it is, uh... unique. I definitely suggest going up to see it some time before you leave."

Her rose perfume standing out as she whispered softly in his ear.

"...Get used to the taste of sake Saisei-kun. It will be consumed a lot."

She then leans back, her fan moving away as if nothing happened.

"Illegal duels are still illegal." He replied. Poor birdy thing was so lost. "And Kakita-bugyo is quite the strict magistrate. On the other matter, though, I can wait two years or three. I'm young and there is no need for me to make such decisions by myself so early." Maybe by replying to a lot of things at the same time he could take all the focus from the other two to the third. Trying to make peace between the two before they tried to kill themselves was good. "Still up for the singing thing? I thought of something by now."

The world did definitely stop as he inhaled the sweet aroma.

A shining presense, just a earshot away from the young man shakes his head looking at the whole scene. Fortunately for Saisei, no one noticed that. The only thing he hears is the Scorpion whispering lips that sends lightning down his legs and into the earth.

As Ningen-do begins to move again with that enormous amount of energy, all that can be seen as the fan goes down is a very perceptive blush in his cheeks. What would have she said to make such a young man blush?

Perhaps there were no need for words, since age itself already manages to do much of the work.

"Hai, Senpai!"

In a blink, he nods and then downs the cup, showing he accepted and understood the tutoring gift. He also, well, sits down. Too much standing today. A moment of contemplation of his surroundings would be good to refocus his Chi.

Having extracted herself from any groups for the moment, the Dragon courtier returned to watching the crowd. Waiting to see if anything caught her eye.

Most of the people that Captain knew were occupied which was a find thing, though it seemed he would likely be escorting both of them home later this evening, and Yoko too from the looks of it.

Deciding it was well past time to get to know someone in the crowd he pushed himself away from the wall where he had been leaning and moved in round the crowd, finally spotting someone that had been doing much the same thing he was. Bows were a bit awkward in this crowded surrounding, but the Mantis did manage a polite nod to the Dragon. "Care for any company Kitsuki-san?"

"An Ikoma, you say? Ah", he nodded. "I believe I heard him enter earlier, he as well had some good words for the groom. Did matters end there or does he show interest in the ronin?"

[Moshi Minari]

Having finished her round of roasting, Minari... stumbled hurriedly out the door and was gone for a while. So much to her sadness she missed seeing any Crane getting punched.

As she got back inside, she seemed a little shaky and much paler, and she sat down and began working with her pipe. A smoke would calm her stomach.

"Good" Himeko said softly, a sweet smile on her face as she subtly motioned behind her back for a server to come over again. An easy thing to do with Saisei slowly returning to the world and now sitting down. "Don't worry Otomo-sama, I'll look out for you."

There was a pause as the server had indeed come over and noticed an empty glass! Himekos wasn't empty, but it was topped up as well as Saiseis.

"I have been all over this wonderful empire, but I cannot say I have had the chance to grace the home of the Otomo. Would you share some stories of your home?"

Holy kami, the Scorpion was indeed incredibly quick, he was actually about to flip his cup upside down, but his inexperience clearly showed up. The Otomo may have been gifted the constitution of a Hida, that's no doubt, but the liver wasn't yet marinated in sake as those of his hosts. His smile flattens as he looks up to Himeko and a drop of sweat slowly starts form up his forehead.

Saisei waves for her to take a seat at his side, and says, as she makes herself even more comfortable nearby, "Oh. There are plenty. Otosan Uchi, after all, is the heart of the Empire. Located within the Forbidden City itself. It is said that those blessed by the Heavens can actually enter within. Those that dare enter without invitation are punished greatly. The less honored might explode, while the most honorable of souls might just get a bit dizzy."
