[Dapper Dog]

"Illegal duels are still illegal." He replied. Poor birdy thing was so lost. "And Kakita-bugyo is quite the strict magistrate. On the other matter, though, I can wait two years or three. I'm young and there is no need for me to make such decisions by myself so early." Maybe by replying to a lot of things at the same time he could take all the focus from the other two to the third. Trying to make peace between the two before they tried to kill themselves was good. "Still up for the singing thing? I thought of something by now."

"Yeah sing us a song, Big Bird-san," Biyo said looking for distraction.

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"An Ikoma, you say? Ah", he nodded. "I believe I heard him enter earlier, he as well had some good words for the groom. Did matters end there or does he show interest in the ronin?"

"I believe they made an arrangement." she answered. "Vouching for her to the Crab made her his responsibility. He suggested that she could serve as his yojimbo while they are here."

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Troublesome", Shitoru commented. "Are you busy late into this night, Fuzake-san? I would much like to have a conversation with you and the girl in question, before thoughts drift too far down the cups."

[Asahina Sanaharu]

It worked! He liked to take a cup of water before and after singing, but around him was... Well, shochu. Time to do things the hard way. He cleared his throat subtlely before starting to sing a simple song about a young shugenja and the wall of water she conjured.

[Ikoma Ren]

"I crossed the border with her." she nodded. "The Crab gave her some trouble, but one of the Lion stood up for her, Ikoma Ren."

Ren notices a familiar face in the crowd and heads over. "My ears are burning. I hope over good things."

[Hida Daichi]

He smiled, but it was a weak smile and he said, "Of course. I was just entertaining our guests, have you met this charming Kitsuki? Trained by the Mirumoto, she is."

"Oh Daichi-kun, ever the charming heart of the party. I had hoped your sister would be here, but alas she has so many duties."

"Oh yes I do know how you love to entertain guests, especially the young pretty ones." He said with a smile that never left his lips. "Im sure you're just heart broken that your wife couldn't make it, you are such a dutiful husband Yancho-kun."

He looked to the Kitsuki perhaps a bit of apology in his eyes at her being put in the middle of this but he kept his voice pleasant as he addressed her "A Kitsuki trained by the Mirumoto eh? Thats the school that like fighting with two blades right? Can't say I've ever seen it in action, seems too complicated for my taste."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"I don't foresee anything preventing that." she shrugged. "I'll need to check on Dango, but I'll be free whenever you wish."

"Thank you, Fuzake-san. I'll see about finding our friend, then."

Shitoru was about to excuse himself when the Ikoma arrived, he halted and offered a bow.

"Ah, Ikoma-san. Good evening." she greeted him as he approached. "I know of nothing bad I could say of you."

"Ikoma Ren-san, I presume. I am Bayushi Shitoru, soldier stationed at the Fortress of Blackened Sight. An honor."

Yancho said, “As you say, well perhaps we can speak another night on these matters, Kitsuki-san?”

It worked! He liked to take a cup of water before and after singing, but around him was... Well, shochu. Time to do things the hard way. He cleared his throat subtlely before starting to sing a simple song about a young shugenja and the wall of water she conjured.

The Crab bushis and peasants cheered at the song and that gave way to a spontaneous folk song rolling through the Crab crowd like a wave of some local song called Biwa Man, it lacked all Crane charm in the voice but was easy to follow along and sing with.

[Ikoma Ren]

"Ah, Ikoma-san. Good evening." she greeted him as he approached. "I know of nothing bad I could say of you."

"I do my best to keep it that way." Ren offers a shit eating grin to the pair. He bows to the Scorpion.

"Well met Bayushi-san. I had the privilege of sharing a meal with one of your clan on the trip here. She had quite a way with words"

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Shosuro Himeko is quite the woman", Shitoru agreed. "You would do well to remember her presence is a blessing." Then he bowed to them both. "If I could be excused." Then to Mifuni. "I will call upon you later, Fuzake-san."

In Crane courts, people were not to cheer. The entire experience was different to him, but his job was entertaining and he was doing it. Sanaharu stopped singing to start playing biwa to what was apparently the rhytm of biwa man. The tune matched the voice, but was not the normal tune of the song. Not that he knew Crab folk songs, but he was trying to do something to go alongside the crowd.

[Yoko]

"No..." she said with a hint of embarrassment. "Just not looking to make trouble for over promising and under delivering. I can do more if it's just me and they're looking to just hunt for fun. I haven't had a chance to check out the wilderness just yet."

She nodded, "Maybe if I can talk to them...I did run into one Mantis on my way in."

"Tell them you know me," she said, tapping her chest with a bit of a laugh. "Well, I-" she shook her head, "I'm not actually sure just how much that'll work but I do think they find me agreeable enough to take it as a positive, eh? Anyway," she waved her hand a bit. "How does the whole hunting business work? Seems like it wouldn't be something that would dry up in a way to cause you to need to move on. Taking care of undesirables, well, that takes time for them to filter back in but aren't there always a few birds and whatnot to trap?"

[Kitsuki Tanaka]

Most of the people that Captain knew were occupied which was a find thing, though it seemed he would likely be escorting both of them home later this evening, and Yoko too from the looks of it.

Deciding it was well past time to get to know someone in the crowd he pushed himself away from the wall where he had been leaning and moved in round the crowd, finally spotting someone that had been doing much the same thing he was. Bows were a bit awkward in this crowded surrounding, but the Mantis did manage a polite nod to the Dragon. "Care for any company Kitsuki-san?"

Ever observant the Kitsuki had recognized the approaching Mantis not too long after he had locked on to her. As he approached she likewise made the attempt to bow. "Not at all Tsuruchi-sama."

"I am Kitsuki Tanaka, courtier and a representative of the Dragon." She stepped away from him a little, opening up a space for him to get out of the crowd. "I notice Tsuruchi-sama has successfully implemented the 'have a drink with me!' strategy with success. A good plan given the tempo of the party." The Kitsuki had a sly grin as she spoke.

[Ikoma Ren]

Ren looks back over to the Monkey, raising his eyebrows. "Was it something I said?"

[Kakita Konohamaru]

Having finished his...reflection? Cheer? The Magistrate of Nightmares slipped into the crowd as they moved onto other things.

Looking around, he found that the Crane present had found themselves an avenue to perform, and for now was content to watch.

All the while, darting around the room on occasion with his eyes to spot any who would defy the peace this was supposed to bring.

[Yue]

"The fact that they are willing to take in one ronin is already a good sign," she bobbed her head perhaps more times than she had to, perhaps a bit entranced at the sensation of light-headedness, "so your word must be worth something, I bet. Is it the Sea Fox...a rigger?"

"No, animals don't really go away but more ronin do move in eventually," she gave a shrug, pretty sure that Yoko had experienced it enough, "one ronin offers to do it cheaper than the other and you're not really needed so much anymore. Or eventually coin becomes more valuable and people are more comfortable doing it themselves. Without a good employer, nothing really lasts forever."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

He stepped into the space beside the Dragon, offering a polite nod of thanks. "I have, though it seems I may have been best served by bringing a second along with me." The young woman seemed to be missing one of her own after all. "We'd both have something of a disguise then."

"But a pleasure to meet you, Kitsuki-san. I'm Tsurushi Shouji, Captain of the Seafox."

[Yoko]

Gets to be more of a race in the line of work I focus most on though," she said, shrugged again. "Anyway, yea, the Sea Fox. Worked just as another hand but they have themselves a near full crew. Friendly folk, welcoming even to those like us, could be they'd find something for you. They've helluva lot to their coffers for sure," she said, a thought to nudge her but get unsteadied a little on the bar and righted herself against the bar again.

[Kitsuki Tanaka]

Her gaze fell over the other guests briefly then back to the Mantis, "Might I ask if you were chartered to bring some guests or perhaps just here at the mercy of the wind and currents?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"So then I expect one might find the Seafox at harbor, and a portion of her crew..." Tanaka gestured toward the mass of people partying, "Though I suppose the 3 zeni fee was a barrier to for any just looking for a drink or three?"

"It is a party Tsuruchi-sama, the Crab are not ones for gossip but I imagine anything untoward will be all over the village by the morning. So no real need for seconds." She shrugged, "Of course...it would have made for an amusing bit of wordplay if you had been seconded by a second mate."

"Three zeni isn't much of a barrier for most of my crew." The Captain offered, his eyes looking through the crowd for the members who were here. "Though I've only spotted two of my crew members here."

He brought his drink to his lips for a sip. "I think there is enough going on here that neither you or eye have much to worry about. It's not like either if us have started to lose bits if our clothes." Like a certain Dragon he had seen in the crowd. "Or their dinner for that matter."

He glanced towards the Ktsuki. "To answer your question though, I brought a group of Imperials here, as well as a pair if Crane. I expect i might be asked to return them to their homes too. Once all this is done."

"A good arrangement for your ship, Tusurchi-sama. Sail under commission to a Crab town about to hold celebrations, let yourself and your crew enjoy themselves, then return the same passengers and perhaps more besides."

[Kitsuki Naida]

A long, thick shadow would fall over the man as the imposing form of Hida Daichi pulled up behind him "Yancho-kun! Its been too long, how's my sister doing!?" The loud brash Crab was one of action so while his brother deliberated and looked confused Daichi acted.

He moved around the man and regarded him with a too friendly smile, especially too friendly for the dangerous look in his eyes, eyes that lost their edge when he looked to the Dragon present, no animosity there, she had done nothing wrong "Dragon-san, apologies for interrupting, I just haven't seen my brother in law for a long time. This one is Hida Daichi, pleasure to meet you." The massive Crab bowed and his mismatched eye sparkled with a good natured mirth entirely different from the sharp edge they held looking at Yancho.

Yancho? She could have sworn the Hida had said his name was something else.

Naida nibbled on her bun as she watched the exchange between the two Crab... well, listened, at the very least. She gave a bow, "Hai. And if you wish, I can certainly show either of you some of what the Mirumoto school entails. I assure you, even if it is complicated in practice, watching it in action is no harder than any other."

She looked from Daichi to Yancho, giving a slight bow, "Yes, we can talk another time. I pray your honored wife finds some time to enjoy the wedding festivities too, as well."

Being somewhat oblivious to who the man actually was in relation to the celebration, Naida could not know who the man's wife was either.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"My apologies Captain...I meant for one seeking nothing more than drink and entertainment, 3 zeni is an unnecessary waste." Kitsuki dipped her head slightly.

She chuckled, "Well yes, I suppose if we had then rumors would be sure to surface. And you would forgive me Captain if I said I tend toward a slower more methodical approach." "Ah, well it's not something you really need to apologize for." He replied with an easy smile. "As you do make a good point."

"A slower more methodical approach to losing your clothes, Kitsuki-san." He asked with a light chuckle. "Or were you referring to getting drunk enough to leave our dinner elsewhere?" The subject was left behind for her to answer or not. "I think a couple have already lost some of theirs. One of my crew members among them." The Captain said with a shake of his head.

"It does seem like things have worked out in our favor though as you said. With luck it will continue that was as well." He glanced towards the Dragon. "Though I imagine most will returning the way they came, rather then seek passage with us."
