[Day 3 - LN] One Hundred Eyes of Death [Event]
The creature is feasting on a large cart of fish, it stands larger than twice the height of a man but is hunched down eating voraciously. A harpoon sticks out of the side and under the spilled fish is the now cooling corpse of some peasant fisherman. Red green blood oozes slowly from the injury of the harpoon having pierced the white gray flesh. The upper body and head is covered in eyes that see in all directions and the large mouth is lined with razor sharp teeth that tear through the fish flesh.
It has two large muscled arms with talons at the end of long fingers. From the chest protrude two tentacles like spikes and it looks bipedal with large powerful legs. Whatever it is, it seems to have come from the sea.
The sky is showing the first signs of sunrise.
OOC: Open to three characters, please pass a Fear 3 (TN 20) check and the players start at 30 feet from the creature. This is a highly dangerous encounter and the players have 8 rounds max for reasons.

Well, Naida was definitely afraid of whatever it was. They didn't get these sorts of things up north, and if you ran into something in another spirit realm? You got your projection out of there. Still, she stood ready.

Nightmares again.
They seem to be coming back just after he closes his eyes today.
Maybe another walk at the docks will help...
As he reaches the door of the Inn, he thinks he hears something. Something weird.
Nightmares.
But he's standing right in front of the door.
He goes back, dons his armour, gets his Ono. This... can't be. Can it?
He then makes his way to the docks as quick as he can in full armor and dragging a large axe with him. He looks around. The sun almost starting to rise. Few people on the streets. As he gets closer to the dock, he's now sure he's hearing something. He wonders if he should yell to call others, but decides against it.
These are Crab lands. His cousin's village. They will come. Someone will.
He keep rushing along the docks and looks at the monstrosity.
It looks back at him. With all of its eyes.
Nightmares.
He trembles. His legs almost fail him. He fights the urge to run, but only barely. Looks to one side, then the other.
He then sees two other people running in the Pier as well. One is the Hiruma from the Festival just the day before. That encourages him some, and he keeps forward.
That thing has killed someone already. They must do what they can, as they can. Even if Taiki must fight his own mind while doing it...

The creature continued to feast on the fish though the eyes on the back definitely train themselves toward the gathered samurai. A warning growl is uttered which sounds like nothing they have heard in nature both low and shrill.

Holding the Ono tight in his hands, he adjust his grip on it, adjusts his posture, stands steady for the time being, and places himself beside the Hiruma to guard him from harm if the monster should come towards him.

The Hiruma nods to the Kitsuki, and takes a step back, drawing a piece of paper and slapping it on the cobblestone street he speaks a few words, then takes a stance of defense watching the Ichiro's back, "Draw it to us, if you must, or I can strike it from range, but I will need a few moments."

Seeing them take actions that were aggressive it turned from the meal of fish and charged towards them bounding quickly and then brought a mighty swipe towards the largest opponent! The harpoon still jutting from the side.
The ward seemed to have no effect. Ichiro is spared for now.

The Ichiro moves a bit, Roger's assistance seems to distract the monster somewhat, and the creature's lunging strike hits the armour with a thud.
The nightmares in the Badger's head scream, but he holds them in. This is real. Now is the time to be strong.
He swings the Ono hard at the creature with a loud shout. It seems heavier than usual, but he still manages to pull its weight around with some force and direct the swing to the large horror standing before him.

Seeing that mortal metal did not effect the creature, Naida continued to guard to by guarding her fellow bushi, forming a wall of metal and flesh to get past, "It seems the Ichiro and I will be of little use other than giving you time, Hiruma-san. Hopefully you have some tricks up your sleeves?"

The Hiruma steps back another 10 feet, now 20 feet from the creature he begins chanting, drawing the spirits of flame to him his hand sketches a line in the air and a glowing river of fire begins following his movement like a ribbon of flame.

The creature hissed and roared at the flames and seeing that the large one was guarded turned to the Dragon, but seeing it close to the bright fire it lashed out at the Badger. The harpoon is still jutting from the bleeding wound as it tries to rend the samurai into fleshy pieces.
OOC: Full Attack Stance, 2 Simple Attacks. Hit for 33 and 31 wounds.

This time the Badger is hit hard, twice, despite the Dragon's attempts at protecting him. The armor braces part of the impact of each hit, and Taiki grits his teeth, feeling the pain from the rending claws that reached to his chest and leg, but he keeps up.
He looks at the Hiruma for a moment... and waits for the Shugenja to do whatever he has in mind before he tries to do something himself. The pain and the trembling when he looks at the monster's eyes make it too hard to do much at the moment...

Seeing that her guard technique wasn't doing anyone much good here, Naida sheathed her swords and made a grab for the harpoon sticking out of the thing; It had pierced it if nothing else.

The Hiruma swings the whip wildly as he charges toward the monster, menacing with the fire he steps up to just behind the other two Bushi. He reaches out and slaps something onto the Badgers back, speaking a soft prayer and suddenly there is no pain in his body.

As he feels the surge of energy when Roger slaps something onto his back, Taiki takes a deep breath.
Apparently his heavy hits did... nothing. Had his strength failed him again?
He thought. There was one more thing he could try to do, and he would try it.
He looked on the monster in front of him... then, dropping his Ono, he threw himself at it and tried to hold it.
Was it crazy? Probably. But it could give the others a better chance to survive, so he had to do it.

EDIT AGAIN: Gosh I'm so stupid, I had failed to notice the monster had switched to Full Attack. That's what I get for posting while sleepy. Hoping it isn't a problem to edit this (asked on Discord... if it is a problem, I'd just switched to Center instead)

The creature howled in pain as the harpoon is wrenched free, the sharpened tip is flaked black stone, it looks crude but it cuts through the flesh with ease. Meanwhile the Badger tries to grab and control the beat but it has powerful muscles as it gnashes it teeth preparing to bite the samurai.
OOC: Obsidian Spear (Harpoon): 2d10o10k2 17 the creature suffers this damage with it being pulled out. Total wounds thus far is 28 wounds.
Hundred Eyes Grapple Control - Correct: 9d10o10k6 49
The harpoon is essentially a Yari utilizing Spears skill dealing 2k2 but it has an Obsidian tip.
