[D2, LA] Are Fishermen Sailors Too?

[Bayushi Shitoru]

Shitoru hadn't full explored the village or it's environs the previous day, and it was a matter he sought to rectify. He'd spied several Mantis at the party the previous night and knowing they do not travel long distances with their legs, it meant one thing for certain. There would be Watanabe crafted Kobune at the docks.

Sure enough, as he passed the Hole, he looked down the way and there they were. Too large and imposing to be any simple fisherman's vessel, even not in motion they suggested a great deal of mass and presence, especially compared to the Crab's fishing boats. He nodded, seeming pleased at the sight and walked along side the docks looking at them and the sailors aboard.

"Splendid, I wonder if it's true they travel across the world in these...", he said to himself aloud.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"As far as they'll take us." A voice confirmed, it was easy to understand why the figure perched on one of the Crates by one of the vessels had been missed. A single human didn't exactly draw the eye, especially when dressed in a simple kimono in sea green.

"But my apologies for disturbing your contemplation, Bayushi-san." The Captain offered a few moments later.

[Bayushi Shitoru]

Looking curiously up at the man, Shitoru considered it, then replied. "Apologies are for mistakes, this one did such in lacking manner and mindfulness", he bowed. "I am Bayushi Shitoru or Blackened Sight castle. To whom do I have the honor of speaking?"

He assumed the man a samurai from his manner and speaking so openly with him, anyway.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Tsuruchi Shouji, Captain of the Sea Fox." He bowed from his seat before gesturing towards the ship behind him. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Bayushi-san."

He put aside a small knife and the piece of salted fish he had been eating. "Is it your first time seeing a Kobune this close?"

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Of the Mantis, aye. I've seen others along the River of Gold before, but humble merchant vessels lack the style and sail." He looked from the ship to her captain. "It must be quite the adventure, though no doubt one Tsuruchi-san is accustomed to by now."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

The Captain really didn't consider those pieces of junk actual Kobune, not that he intended to say that out loud though. At least not to a Scorpion. "I don't think one ever becomes truly accostomed to adventure." Shouji offered with a slight smile.

"To the regular day to say sailing yes, but the seeing of new places and meeting of new people." He shook his head. "No. If you did it'd just become boring in time, wouldn't it?"

[Bayushi Shitoru]

"Some prefer a tempo they follow in ordered measure, others dance to chaos so long as vigor holds...I find excitement and interest in both." He chuckled softly. "Though perhaps I do not know true adventure, and say much anyway. What thrills does one such as the good captain find to his liking? A storm? A fight? A woman?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I like to see new places and meet new faces." He replied with a shrug. "Which i imagine doesn't sound terribly exciting when compared to fighting, women, and storms."

"Though I wonder which of these three you prefer."
