All the proper samurai dined and mingled as Yoko walked into the inn. Though her mind wasn't quite on the food of the day, but the food of the next and the one after that, perhaps. Regained of her focus from the last few hours she lay her thumb in her obi as she glanced around the establishment, taking in the moment.

Jun approached and said, "Good evening samurai-sama, how can we serve you?"

Looking to Jun she smiled lightly, "Hoping to ask a few questions if you've got the time and patience?"

"Questions? I will try, samurai-sama," she said with confusion.

"Got a place to sit? Could be a little bit, could be-" she shrugged, "anyway, wanted to ask about the area a bit. For starters, if maybe anyone here had any idea what the local concerns might be? Anyone who might have a need for someone to get some honest work done with a blade," she said, tugging at her obi a little with the thumb which caused her daisho to shake a little.

She nodded and said, "Let me get my aunt, samurai-sama."

The woman bowed again and tried to retreat.

"Of course," she said, happy to let the woman on her way. In the meantime, she took to looking around the inn. Seeking out the little notable unique parts about it. What made this inn different than all the others. It wasn't a practice that had answers for her, and not one she was like to care about for long, but it was something to do with her time while she waited.

“Looking for work, samurai-sama? What is it that you do and more importantly are you a paying customer,” she said rubbing her fingers together.

"I've lodging for the time, aboard the Sea Fox, so.. probably not, still, I've been taught well and don't plan on letting any help you give me go to waste, eh?" she said, looking up to the old woman with a little chuckle. "So yea, looking for work. Skilled enough with a blade where it counts so.. little limited perhaps out here in Crab lands, but I've a mind to hope for the best."

"Well the special is mighty tasty, samurai-sama," she offered to the ronin.

"The special then, eh?" she said with a quirked brow, with a half-formed smirk.

"3 zeni, samurai-sama. I assure you it is quite tasty, spicy in honor of the holiday," she said proudly.

With the hand already partially tucked inside her obi she started digging around for the coins. Pulling just those three out and flashing them a little, offering them over, "I am sure it will live up to every expectation then, hmm?"

"So samurai-sama is looking for work, this one would say the Hole is a good place but it is closed. It depends on what work she is willing to do," the old woman offered.

"Best with a blade, and anything with it that might let me at least hold my head up but," she shrugged, "guess I'm always looking into what I can, eh?"

"Still be able to show my face," she answered. "Maybe even find something of a pride in it," she shrugged, "hoping for a lot, I know, but sometimes you get lucky, eh?"

"Not sure I can help you there samurai-sama," she said honestly.

"Honest work is hard to find for you lot."

Waving her hand a little, she nodded, "It is, so, let's speak a bit more about the other work then, eh? Anything else you know, or just the Hole as the place to look?" she asked, her brow raised slightly as she did.

"Well it depends, a ronin with a loose mouth is of no use to certain folks," she said honestly as a server brought some soup and spicy fish.

"Well, good enough coin tightens plenty of things, eh?" Yoko gave a small chuckle without much heart in it. Glancing over as the server entered sight but focusing back on the woman.

"Well if you are interested in pursuing coin, there are folks that can meet with you in the village," she offered.

"Look for the red flag."

"Red flag," she said, nodded, and then looked over toward the meal. "Do me a favor, eh?"

Finding herself the spare moment to take a taste of the meal that was brought out first. Turning away from it as she savored the taste, she tossed her thumb over her shoulder, "Give that to someone who doesn't have any other options? I'll sit and make sure it doesn't go to waste but.. well, if you got someone who'll need it please see it to them instead?"

"No need. I've got others who keep me fed, for now. Figure it's better in the mouth of someone who can't claim the same, eh?" she said, a small and easy smile.
