[Day 2 - EA] Pen is Mightier

[Daidoji Yushoko]

Yushoko took to the streets with her niece to see the sights of this festival and was appropriately scandalized by the rather openness of the people, samurai and peasant alike. She wasn't sure if she liked this or if she should close her and pretend she was anywhere else.

When Kio ran up to her showing her a rather old wooden figurine a peddler had given her she just smiled and nodded. It was good to see Kio happy even if she continued to wear that silly mask on her head.

She sighed and kept her fan handy.

[Ikeda Ishi]

Playing the role of yojimbo at he behest of Otomo Yusuke, Ishi was nearby at a polite distance observing for dangers.

[Yoko]

Yoko found herself back against one of the building's supports for the overhang that reached out into the street. Playing absently with the kiseru in her left hand as she watched the people here. How different it was from other parts of the empire, it was nice.. in it's way. Scanning the street she caught sight first of the girl, Kio. Happy kids were always a good sight. Even getting a chance to see Yushoko smile felt like she saw something she shouldn't of. Not that the woman was known for anything like that but.. well, she didn't expect much when interacting with most Crane.

Then she saw the woman next to them, smiling as she shook her head a little. Letting the smile turn toward a smirk. Crossing her arms over her chest she stayed where she was, leant against the buildings support, and watched a little.

[Ikeda Ishi]

Ishi noticed the ronin because she was scanning for people like her and nodded. Meanwhile her charge was inspecting treats and getting further scandalized at the variety and shapes doing her best to keep Kio from looking and failing.

[Yoko]

With the nod, meeting her eye for a moment Yoko uncrossed one of her arms and gave a little wave. Smirking she leaned off the post, popping around a nearby stand and into the main throughway. Hooking one of her thumbs in her obi as she walked. Not going all too far, she walked up toward one of the stalls, doing some inspecting of her own. Taking the risk of looking for no reason, she tried to find something that was as tame as she could manage.

The peasant peddler said, "Samurai-sama, get yourself a pepper cake, feed it to your man and put oak in his tree!"

The treats were scandalous and interesting.

Laughing she shook her head, "What if I don't have a man?" she raised a brow with her cocky smirk.

[Dapper Dog]

"Then this will bring the men running!" he gestured to a bun of rice wrapped around some peppers and fish.

[Yoko]

"A good offer, but-" she laughed, raising her free hand up with a lone finger. "One more thing I failed to inform you of! What if I don't want to bring the men running? Got anything for that and you've earned your keep today, eh?" she asked, chuckling.

[Dapper Dog]

"Sweet and sour it is then," she chuckled and shook her head. Throwing three fingers up, "What do I owe you for three?"

[Dapper Dog]

"For you my beauty, 2 zeni," he offered.

Shifting the hand that lay with her thumb tucked in her obi fully into her obi she rooted around a little and fetched out the zeni. Holding it tight in her palm as she handed it over with a smile and a nod.

The peddler went on his way to sell more wares as the crowd started to grow.

[Yoko]

Treats acquired she took them in hand and walked about, looking nearby for a good spot to sit with the small haul. A haul which was more than what one person aught to be having, for certain. Glancing around for sight of the group, and if they'd gone off too far.

[Dapper Dog]

They were still there watching a puppet show.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

There was another among the crowd enjoying the festival before the busier events of this evening. Shouji had thus far avoided any phallic shaped treats. Fertility wasn't something he was really needing at this point if his life.

He was having an amusing time watching who exactly was purchasing then though.

Woman on a mission as she was Yoko found herself on her feet again. Focused ahead she carefully made her way through the crowds, not wanting to even risk dropping one of these things. Finding her way over toward the puppet show she stepped up behind the gathered group and stopped there to watch, see what it was all about but really it just got her a bit closer.

A beautiful Scorpion woman watched the play holding a parasol, she smiled when she noticed the captain but did not approach, but she gave him a coy smile when their eyes met.

Shouji recognized all those that had been passengers on his boat recently. Even those he had little chance to talk with. Which wasn't a small number as busy as he tended to be when the ship was in motion.

His crew; especially Minari, would likely warn him to be wary of lovely Scorpion women. A sentiment he normally agreed with. But when their eyes met he couldn't really stay where he was. Not that he had been intending to anyways.

Making his way towards the woman he offered a bow when he got close. "Enjoying the puppet show, Bayushi-san?" He asked politely his voice low as to not disturb others.

She smiled and said, "It is a nice diversion but I find your company to be more enticing."

"I was impressed with your ship and crew."

[Daidoji Yushoko]

Yushoko noticed the ronin, surely that had to be one, what else could it be in a dangerous distance from her. What if it… the wolf wanted money? Or maybe it would try to talk to her or Kio, Doji forbid what if thought she was people? Her training prepared her for this as she adjusted her stance and tried to keep the ronin in her peripheral but still ignored.

She missed her home, dealing with all these uncouth peoples was so demanding.

She smiled and said, "It is a nice diversion but I find your company to be more enticing."

That came straight out of left field, and the young Captain's cheeks flushed pink for a moment. He did manage to distract himself from the comment for a moment as he spotted Yoko in the crowd, stalking a Crane?

"That's kind of you to say as much, Bayushi-san." He offered as he turned his gaze back towards her. "I was wondering if you found everything acceptable. We hardly had a chance to chat during the voyage."

Yushoko noticed the ronin, surely that had to be one, what else could it be in a dangerous distance from her. What if it… the wolf wanted money? Or maybe it would try to talk to her or Kio, Doji forbid what if thought she was people? Her training prepared her for this as she adjusted her stance and tried to keep the ronin in her peripheral but still ignored.

Yoko watched the show a bit longer, taking a bite of one treat while she slipped the other two off into her other hand. Shuffling over a step, making it look like she was just fixing how she was standing for the moment. Gaining a little smirk to her expression she glanced over her shoulder and looked to Yushoko, just a little down as to not cause offense, "Hope you're enjoying the festivities, Samurai-sama?" she asked, holding back her smirk from forming by taking another bite of the treat of interesting nature.
