D6LA, You Knew It Was Coming (Open)

Yuuwaku, dressed relatively humbly--she is a Crane, remember--makes her way out to the Shrine, walking at a sedate pace and...admiring the evident technique involved in setting up the local decor.

So they are individualized! she thinks with a light laugh as an earlier question is answered.

The rain made it something of an unpleasant march up to the Shrine. Though the Captain wore a simple wicker hat to help keep himself dry. Not that it made much difference in the long run.

He was a bit surprised to see another here and offered a polite bow when he noticed it was Yuuwaku. "Kakita-san." He offered politely as he drew near. "Im surprised to see you out on this weather."

"Tsuruchi-sama," Yuuwaku replies, bowing--but keeping her umbrella aloft. "It is not so bad, really, and I felt the need to come to the Shrine.

"What brings you this way?"

"There was a few things I wish to discuss with the Nun here." He admitted easily. "They can wait for at least a bit though."

"What of yourself, just to enjoy the view on a rainy day?"

"No, although I appreciate the scenery here," Yuuwaku replies. "I had also thought to pray. And perhaps to consult the tenders."

She takes a step towards him. "Unless my captain has some other thoughts about our last meeting?"

"It is difficult to not let those thoughts come to mind when you are so close." Shouji admitted with a playful smile, taking a step closer to the Crane himself. The hat we wore had helped some, but not enough to keep his kimono from clinging to his skin in places. "But I wonders if I think about such too long if the fertility God here will offer me his blessings." He added his tone teasing.

"Either way, it is good to see you. I'd thought to call on you today or tomorrow any ways."

"Oh?" Yuuwaku replies, batting her eyelashes up at him. "And whyever would such a dashing young captain come calling on me?"

She smiles teasingly.

"For tea of course." He teased in return. "Or the discussing of the best way to let it cool." A very vigorous discussion indeed.

"Though I should likely admit there would be a more serious topic brought up at some point."

"Color me curious about what would make such a man serious," Yuuwaku replies. "And one wonders if it relates to what the captain would consult the Shrine about."

"Not in the least, the nun here seems knowledgeable in the ways of the Curse that we were under. We lost five days to it, not the three that I recall and she may be able to shed light on that."

He shook his head for the moment glancing down at the Crane for a moment. "There are several matters honestly. Some you may have heard of. First though I would ask who Kakita-bugyo is, and why he would slight me by sending a man so unsuited to the task to my ship to collect an item from my crew."

"Kakita-bugyo is a magistrate of renown," Yuuwaku replies, "but as for sending someone to you, I do not know what you mean and so cannot speak to it."

"One I don't know, so a name would likely go far in helping matters don't you think? I can tell from the -bugyo after all that he is a magistrate." Shouji replied with an easy smile.

"Then i can take up the conversation with him more easily. Rather then wonder about the who of these things, and bother you with them." Getting the man's name from the Crane seemed much akin to pulling splinters and it was getting vexing.

"My apologies; I had thought him renowned enough that his name would be known. It is Kakita Konohamaru."

Yuuwaku's answer is plain enough.

"Thank you, Kakita-san. I admit to not meeting all the Crane here, and in fact never having heard of the man before. I've come across more then one Kakita-bugyo in my life though."

He offered the young woman a warm smile. "Now I have a name though, and I can contact him for a chat. Thanks you, Kakita-san." Shouji replied with a polite bow.

After returning the bow, Yuuwaku asks, teasingly, "Running afoul of the law, then?" She smiles to make the jest clear and adds "How can I feel myself safe with such a ruffian?"

"Or the other way around." He replied his tone equally as teasing. The man the Magistrate had sent had made him doubt the validity of the claims the Crane made. Trust had been given regardless, but there were things there that could be rectified.

"Though it is an excellent question, how can you be certain I don't plan to abscond with you off to the islands?" He asked his eyebrow raised and his smile playful.

"Who would receive your tea in Tsuma, then?" Yuuwaku replies, grinning. "Piping hot or let cool, notwithstanding."

"Oh I'm sure I could find someone." Shouji mused thoughtfully. "They might not be quite so charming."

"Sometimes sacrifices have to.be made though, don't they?"

"One wonders what the captain would sacrifice in such an arrangement," Yuuwaku replies. "I had thought he wanted more than a pretty flower to put in a vase and leave at home."

"A man wants many things, Kakita-san." Shouji replied with a chuckle. "You are right though, that is not the one I had in mind."

"I suppose that keeps you safe from my more roguish tendencies." He mused thoughtfully.

"But not the most roguish of them?" Yuuwaku asks, still teasing.

"Though one must ask: does Tsuruchi-sama look to find a wife here?"

"How do you know you've seen my most rogues side." He asked with a soft chuckle and slow shake of his head.

"That is a popular question." Shouji admitted as she asked about marriage. "I won't say I didn't view it as an opportunity for such either. Though I'd have to admit there are few that have piqued my interest in that direction since I've been here."

"I don't know it, but I think I might like to see it," Yuuwaku replies. "Perhaps when we have a bit more time to explore.

"But where might you chart a course, do you think?"

"Perhaps." He agreed, letting the topic end there unless she sought it out again.

"Hard to say." He offered towards the topic of marriage. He honestly had been thinking of talking with Otomo Yusuke about that before things developed as they did. "Crane or Crab would be the obvious choices. But I'm starting to think I'll sail without a compass for a while longer."

He raised an eyebrow. "Or is there a suggestion you would make, Kakita-san?"

"I'm told that kind of thing is dangerous," Yuuwaku replies. "Good way to get lost, run aground."

She shrugs. Let it lie.

"So, how did you and yours come out of...events?"
