[Day 2 - LM] Living on a Prayer

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Certainly." Shouji replied with a nod. A bit curious as to who exactly the Hida might have in mind. Not that he waa going to ask.

He turned his eyes towards the beach and sea below. He'd make prayers for the weather to hold, but with Minari that wasn't really any concern. "This is a nice view you have here."

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"Lovers come here often, it's a good place with many memories," she said wistfully.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I suppose it would be." He offered with a soft smile, deciding better to comment on what they might be wishing for when they came here.

"I don't imagine I'll be returning here with one, but I can understand the draw."

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"Why not, a lover does not have to be a life long commitment," she mused.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I suppose you're right." He replied with a soft chuckle. "I suppose I just need to find an interested party." Which there may be a few.

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"I am sure you will sort that out," she joked and then watched the horizon quietly.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"You don't seem to be the only one to think so." He agreed with a laugh. Though he let the silence linger between them as the older Hida seemed to be lost in thought, and he had no reason to disturb her.

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"I hope you get a chance to enjoy the festivities later today," she said breaking the silence.

"It's a really fun time."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"I admit I'm looking forward to it." Shouji offered in return.

"Being at sea most of the time, Festivals are something I usually miss. It will be nice to be able to attend one, especially since it will be a new one to me."

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"Good, it is one of my favorite of the year," she said in reply.

"If you get the chance you should participate in the parade."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"The parade?" He asked raising an eyebrow That was the first he had heard any mention of it, so he was a bit curious.

[Hida Kitusuchi]

“The parade happens in the afternoon, we carry offerings to the shrine, it’s a great time. We strip down to our fundoshi and dance and sing our way up the hill. It’s quite the honor to be involved, it is my hope that several our guests will participate,” she replied.

“It’s a great time.”

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Sounds like it is." Shouji offered with a chuckle. "I'm sure my crew will enjoy getting together for it so I'll see about getting some of them involved as well."

Maybe all of them? It'd give them something to do at the very least.

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"Then I look forward to the Mantis making a good showing on this blessed day," she said warmly moving back towards the shrine proper.

"Do you and yours have everything you need?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"We'll do the festival proud." Shouji replied with an easy smile. He trusted his crew to accomplish that much.

At the question he nodded. "A ship allows us to bring most of what we need with us, anything else is mundane or far from a necessity like sake or shouchu. It's kind of you to ask though."

[Hida Kitusuchi]

"Good, I am pleased that you have are enjoying yourself, I need to get back to my duties," she said returning to her waiting honor guard.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Have a pleasant day, Hida-sama." He replied with a nod. "I hope you enjoy the festival as well."
