"Guess that meeting was necessary after all," Koemi said. She never really liked congregations. It was hard to ever get a word in and yet, at the same time, difficult waiting for others to speak up.

She shrugged. "As long as that cat doesn't bother me." She scratched at her throat. "Though could that little guy be an agent of the heavens?"

"Hey, you never know with animals. And Archie's a cute lil' shitface." Minari wasn't really a pet-person, but even she had to admit that Archie was a goshdarn cute little murder-floof.

She wiped off the coins with her sleeve and returned them to their string.

"And of course the meeting was nescessary. We're gonna be a while here in another clan's territory - and not even for business. Gotta keep our heads 'bove water, you know."
