Last Time Was Different [Day 7, EE]

[Yoko]

A Crane had sent someone to come find her and it delayed her coming here. However, she did eventually get here and the wound was at least a bit wrapped before she arrived if not properly tended to.

Inhaling, exhaling, Yoko took the breath before walking up toward the shrine and finding the monk woman named Aji, as she'd been guided.

[Aji]

Aji was sweeping the grounds.

[Yoko]

"Hey," Yoko said, when she'd gotten close enough. "You- Aji, right? Was told you might be able to help me out," she said, giving a little tug of her shirt, showing the hole.

[Aji]

"I can try, ronin, this way," she offered. "This one is Aji, caretaker of the shrine."

[Yoko]

"Thanks," she said with a smirk, and a nod. She stepped forward easily, following along wherever she'd be lead. "That hard work, caring for a shrine?" she asked as she glanced around a little, as if to check the woman's work for something to compliment.

[Aji]

"Fulfilling work, I serve the people and the Fortunes," she said with a smile as she got to work on the injury.

[Yoko]

Propping herself up where she sat she shifted or didn't, however was most helpful. "Well-" she chuckled, shaking her head a little as the woman worked. Glancing down, "glad to hear that. Won't find me complaining about the work you do for the people, eh? Do you" -she paused as the woman would work something, expecting pain- "do you need anything here? Get on by well enough and all?"

[Aji]

"We are always accepting of offerings," she said sweetly.

[Yoko]

"That's the ticket," she said, laughing a little as she dug in among her things. Grinning she pulled out the other koku she'd gotten earlier, holding it up. "Coin works, I hope? And before you say anything- yes, I know how much this is, and yes, I intend to give it to you anyway. Way I figure, you probably do a lot for folk like me but folk like me can't always give back, eh?" she held it out for her, "I'll stand in for them this time. Give back a little what's due and what'll come due."

[Aji]

"Your compassion speaks well of you," she said kindly finishing her work.

[Yoko]

"I try my best," she said with the touch of a smile. Settling back so that Aji could finish up with the work, least she'd feel comfortable knowing it was tended tonight.
