I Am The Weather Girl (D3, EE)

[Moshi Minari]

Minari didn't like the look of the weather when she had awoken that morning. Sure, it had looked fine then, but she was experienced to know the small signs. And then she could notice rainclouds coming, and the way the tides were moving... yes, as someone who slept on a boat, she had no intention of getting her sleep interrupted by a sudden storm coming in.

Standing barefoot in the surf, the lightly dressed Moshi raised her hands to the sky, letting the wind and rain come at her.

"MIGHTY OSANO-WO! MIGHTY SUITENGU! MIGHTY ISORA!" she called out to the three principal Fortunes that sailors called upon, as she had been taught to appeal to the Heavens. "Quell your might, quell your roar, quell your howl! By my bloodline to Osano-Wo, I beseech you to accept this humble offering instead, and may it soothe your wrath to allow for calmer seas and safer tides."

If this were any other person shouting to the Fortunes, it probably wouldn't have done much. Minari on the other hand had been taught the ways of Osano-Wo's descendants, and she chanted the secret prayers that would properly appease the great and small Fortunes of the weather. The wind picked up for a moment, and then the sky was clear once more.

In the waters her spectral form slowly rose until her eyes were above the water... and then she slowly sank back under the waves.

Just enough to be seen.

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

Elsewhere on the beach, Shouji was overlooking the various arrangements being made for the party that evening. He knew enough about Minari to know that the weather would be taken care of, at least in the immediate surroundings, and so they had little to worry about for this evenings festivities. Other then ghosts and the like of course.

Small tables were being constructed, fires for cooking being set, and a stage of sorts for any or all who wished to preform. The Mantis of course had made some arrangements there already, but some others may want to step up, you never knew for certain after all.
