About That... [Day 5, LA]

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Is she?" He raised an eyebrow at that. He hadn't gotten that impression from the woman. She seemed more like a kid running from responsibility to pursue her own desires. "I suppose I'll have to get to know her better."

"As for sides, we may indeed be on the right one, but these Imperials aren't really in the position to be of much help to us either. They don't have their status at the moment just their blades. So near the top or not usually they're just like you now." Which mean they'd be little help if Yusuke turned the Crab against them. He shook his head and sighed.

"That's nothing that worry is going to change though." If things got too bad he could just sail away too.

[Yoko]

"Well- not sure if that's what she wants, but following someone isn't something I'm keen toward, eh? End of the festival I was half considering following her down toward the wall. Then.." she smirked, shrugged. "Well, you know everything else that happened by now. As for the rest of it.." she brought one of her arms over her head and gave it a little stretch. "Honest? If they were in a position to be helpful then we wouldn't really be talking. One of the rare chances people like.. well, me, at least maybe get a chance to do something this big, eh?" she gave a cocky smirk at that.

Finishing with the first arm she stretched the other absently, "So.. maybe I get to use my blade to help some worthy folk soon. It'd be nice, eh? Not keen on giving my life for it.. but.." she finished with her arm, gave a glance toward the ocean. Looking hack with a half-smile and a shrug, "Guess there are worse ways to go if it ends up going bad, eh? Can lay down the sword one last time having done something.. well," she paused, brow quirking a little, "beyond expectation."

Yoko wasn't really helping matters, at least not for Shouji. She couldn't really understand his hesitatioon after all. Wasn't in the position too honestly. "You're right about that, and it would certainly make things easier if that was the case." Not being in this predicament would make him happier. "I suppose there is some draw to being part pf somethign this big." He smirked and shook his head. "Though I admit the fact that you have a draw to it is a bit confusing."

"You don't have much interest in being part of other things that are bigger then you, or that's how i see it." Not such was really the onject of conversation. He lifted a hand to brush a stray hair behind his ear. "As far as bloodshed goes, I figure if it comes to that we're all as good as dead anyways. It means he'll have likely brought the crab against us, and there is nothing much we can do about that difference in numbers."

[Yoko]

Yoko smirked her cocky smirk, "Guess that just means you haven't completely figured me out quite yet, eh?" she teased it with the smirk renewed a bit longer. Looking to him as she did so.

"If it comes to it.. I don't think it will. Maybe something happens, and our friends manage to convince enough to give pause. Far as I see? They want some level of discretion, eh? Otherwise we'd probably all have witnessed something way more intense by now, least that's how I figure it," she waved the thought off a little. Glancing to the sand behind him for a moment as she thought. Signing she closed her eyes for a moment.

Looking back up to him she gave a little raise to her shoulders, looked to him earnestly, "Look, I'm- I talk big, eh? I'm used to it," she brings her finger up and gives it a whirl to indicate everything. "For what it's worth.. my heads level, and I'm doing the best I can. All I've ever tried to do. Trying to.. protect the things I find myself caring about, things mom told me to care about."

"And you and yours? Sorry to say Tsuruchi-sama but y'all have left a pretty big impression on this girl from nowhere," she said, tapping her own chest with a mighty grin. "I'll do right by you, try to work off some of that concern eh?"

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Could means you might not know yourself as well as you think either." He returned in a teasing tone. "Though I'm not about to try and argue that point." It seemed the quickest way to get into her bad side.

"It's the figuring out how the otherside will move next that makes this far more frustrating. I can make guesses at the motives involved but not much more then that."

He did smile at the last bit though and nodded. "Alright then Yoko, for what it is I do believe you." Even if he thought she may be spreading herself a bit thin. "I suppose we'll just have to see how it all goes, try to arrange things in a way where we can all survive this."

[Yoko]

"Good," she smirked, crossing her arms a little at the first. Listening along as he continued she nodded her assent. "Thank you, Tsuruchu-sama," she said with a smile, a little nod. "When it's all said and done I'll make sure you'll never regret knowing me, eh? We'll be ready for it, whatever it is."

[Tsuruchi Shouji]

"Best be sure to have plenty of sake on hand to deal with whatever happens after too." He replied this time a cocky smile making it's way onto him lips. "We'll need plenty for any celebrating we are due."
