She looked behind her since the sound was coming from behind. She unsheathed her katana as she stayed in high alert. "She was right." Hanatsuko smirked.

The corpse parts and corpses rise to form an army of wretched things with backward arms and odd twisting legs, and even heads in the wrong place. But they are legion and glimmer with an eerie blue light through their bodies.

They chant a bitter song. It is shrill chant and ghostly war drums bang in the distance. The legion of the dead begin to advance on the two samurai chanting the song. Their movements are wrong, gait awkward and halting, but they lurch forward.

The mons of Crab and Crane can be seen on armor and backflags. Broken blades glimmering in the moonlight. As they approach they begin to part and there is one central figure rising from the water a mess of black slick hair and then eyes open and her mouth opens and a powerful shriek rips through your body and very souls.

The legion is nearly on them when the child points at the samurai and says, “Four nights of pain, my curse shall reign… Days without end, their hearts must mend.”

“Mother, father… return to me, or I shall call you to the sea.”

Then the phantoms vanish and they are alone on the beach and no ghosts can be felt.

Hanatsuko winced in pain. The words will echo in her mind as the horrid creature disappeared into the fade. The girl is injured but will live. The falcon who missed all the horrors had perched on a palm tree. The dog sat peacefully beside the campfire. "Ouch..." is all she would say.

Tatuma stands with his tetsuko leaning from his hand down to the ground. He looks at the dog and then to Hantsuko.

Hanatsuko sat on the cold sand. Sari started licking her the Falcon's face. "Who in Jigoku would be the mother of that? Fortunes..." She sighed. "Sari... you are not a medic." Kuma came down and perched on the shoulder. "Kuma... that is not a good place to sit now..." The girl winced as the pain continued. "Probably will need a shugenja to work this out."

New chan... you are hurt. Where were you?

"I don't know."

"Are you alright?" He says to Hanatsuko. He lifts his tutsobu up to hold it on his shoulder.

"I'll live... it is pain" She took a deep breath. "Any ideas on what that thing was?"

"Something I have never fought against on the wall. She was near the water, I would a siren." He looks around the area to reorient himself. "We need to go and tell something, now."

"Yeah... Do you know any spiritual guide? A shugenja perhaps?" She wished she had her sister beside her for some advise.

"I think we should go together. I don't know what that thing was. You may not know much either, but the more we information can give, the better." He looks over to her, then looks ahead.

"I'll be at your disposal. Just let me know." She nodded. "I think we should get some rest after we write down what happened." She patted the head of the dog. "Tomorrow we can talk to people." She winced.
