[Fuzake Hifumi]

She sat down and took out her bundle of sticks.

"What would you like to know, Oturi-sama?"

[Oturi Yuahime]

"What is the best course for handling my brother, that minimizes bloodshed?" she asked.

[Fuzake Hifumi]

She went through the ritual carefully, splitting the stack in two, and counting each half down, again Nd again. Once finished, she frowned and tried to contain her frustration.

"I am sorry, Oturi-sama. I can see no clear answer."

"Then we will have to see this through together," she said with a nod and added, "We will do the best we can, I am sure of it."

[Fuzake Hifumi]

"Fate brought us together." She gathered the stalks and stood. "We'll face whatever else it brings together."

The future was uncertain but she felt better having taken a moment to reflect with a friend.
